Im on the fence with buying this. I have yet to see anyone sample, for example, say 1 or 2 seconds of a piano or bass from a record. And then assign it to the keys, rather than the pads. So you can have the full range of notes from the record sample. Not from the sound kits that are included. Do you know if this is possible on this machine?
Yo! How do you sample from phone? Is it possible without inputs? Got a 6.35 cable to USB 3.0, but no inputs on MPC Key 61..
Thanks!
Suggested Video Topic: IF POSSIBLE to do - I installed SSD drive. Is it possible to create and rename folders when you are looking at the files in the that drive in the Browser?
If you can't do it now they may update when 3.0 comes out.
Hi Doc, great video. I was wondering is there a way to sample from external source directly to the MPC Key 61 key, keybed like on the ASR10 and Triton keyboards with out using pads? I'm use to those keyboard workflows I only want to use the pads for drums. If so could you show or explain? Thanks
Just make your beats on the MPC key 61 then just use midi to lock it with your ASR10 & Triton.
@@SampleKingsVideos Doc, thanks for the reply, but what I'm trying to do is sample directly to the MPC Key 61 key, keybed without using pads? I don't want to use the pads at all. and I only want to assign samples directly to the keys not the pads. like with the ASR or Triton boards, old school like I remember 20 years ago buying instructional videos from you and I didn't trust the internet so I called and was surprised to talk to you directly to ease my doubt, LOL keep it going. If there is a way to sample like on my Trition could you show or explain? Thanks
Peace fam. I have a question. Say you have 20 chops and you are using the keys to audition the chops,...when in sample edit mode, as you audition/play the chops from the keys, does the software and screen follow the midi from the keys or only from the pads?
Good question
how do you keep that little bar from popping up on the right when you turn the control knobs i hate that it gets in the way..thanks
I try not going near it the Qlinks are heat sensitive. If you need any help I do Zoom lessons just call 718 715 4652 or email admin@samplekings.com.
Hold the qlink button down and it shows a popup with a button you can tap to switch it off
