Hey Doc. Ensoniq, didn't have anything to do the EMU SP drum machines. That merger didn't come til later in both companies' history. All the good stuff had already been made by then the EMU E-III, SP-1200, E-4 series through the Ultras and the E4 Platinum. As for Ensoniq SD-1, ASR-10, the last axe the truly made themselves was the ZR-76 to correct the problems with MR series. For the record, Fizmo wasn't released until after the merger but was on the backburner for release. I completely agree with Dre Blezzed74 " I Appreciate all you do and thank you for the time you put in to help us". As you see I been around for while too.
Ensoniq ASR-X especially the Pro was the good stuff. I could always & still can (by discovering old music) instantly tell if I hear that machine in a song. Not only that but the way it laid out pads chromatically rather than in a square grid always made it the more playable sampler for anything beyond a drum kit. The MPC Key is brilliant though & finally got it right for those who play melodically

Peace my bro. Why did you skip "display resolution" in sequencer tab? Could you explain what differs between 96 & 960 PPQN? Help us out
Display is not a problems just go to preferences to hardware and set it up there. PPQN is Pulse Per Quarter note between each quarter note there can be 96 or 960 steps.
MY MPC pad is not insinc with my record tempo...HELP
