My local indoor place has gas karts and they're really fast, top speed 40mph. When you're inside on that narrow track it feels really fast. Haven't been to an outdoor track yet but I definitely want to

indoor karting is like a street circuit race
outdoor karting basically like other normal circuit race

Outdoor karting is my choice without any doubt, because of the general layout of the track, the space you have to drive/overtake and mainly because of the surface where you are driving your kart.
    Tarmac >>>>>> slippery indoor surface

Outdoors is where it’s at, you just can’t get the same feeling indoors, and it’s generally much faster outside which, naturally, makes it more fun.
My recommendations for outdoor tracks gotta be Brentwood Karting for rental drivers, and Bayford Meadows & Glan y Gors for more serious rental drivers/owner drivers. For indoors, a chuck around TeamSport Harlow or Warrington is pretty fun

The city I live in has a kart track in a multi level parking building, and its VERY narrow. In fact, its so narrow that even a very slower racer may be impossible to overtake unless he lets himself get overtaken. Its hardly ever more than 3 meters (9 or so feet) from one barrier to the other, with quite a few places being so narrow that two karts can fit side by side only if they both go to each of the barriers.
Due to this reason, I´d probably say outdoor racing, even though Im yet to try it.

Outdoor all the way. The noise, the wind, the speed, you just can't replicate it indoors.😊

And most importantly no red flags, only having to slow down for the corner during yellow flags, and run off for people who overcook a turn, potentially saving everyone from more yellow flags.

outdoor karting is much more fun tbh it's not even close! resembles driving a car on track a lot more than indoor karting does

My advice for indoor karting is when overtaking realise that lap is just a casualty so get round everyone at the expense of speed and then you will have an empty track, with indoor also get an approach for starting a fast lap and a slow one as if it on a curve feel free to drift after to not hit a wall as you will of already got the time

Anyone know why indoor tracks almost always have slippery surfaces? I would like to see an indoor track that has tarmac like an outdoor race track.

When made change from indoor to outdoor it took 3 races to learn the aggressive indoor racing did not work outside . Electric karts suck 🤮
