"The trigger is horrible" Proceeds to nail everything he shoots at.
Hickock 45 explained why the trigger is horrible--to HIM. He's got big hands and the length of pull of the trigger is uncomfortable to him. That doesn't impact his ability to aim the gun properly. It just makes it uncomfortable for him to shoot it. YMMV.

@@joeycarter8691 thats what it takes to get better! I'm all over the place with handguns because I've been shooting rifles all my life. Work on SAFTEY, stance, trigger then practice as much as possible don't be discouraged if you miss your target be encouraged to do better!
Yeah, he is like 6’8” so if you are an average sized guy, you probably won’t have any issues with it

Lol, a little late to the game, NEW G3C, replacing the G2C, just came out, def gonna get one! I have PT111 G2, 5K rounds NO malfunctions, also purchased G2C, killer deal at $150. So......i can literally buy almost 3 of the Taurus semi's for a little over the price of just one SIG P365. Just saying.....

I love my G2C! Almost 2000 rounds of all kinds of ammo through it including steel case and aluminum and not a single failure to feed or failure to eject.

The problem with Taurus is quality control, some weapons come with a poorly done finish. Generating some failures.

I enjoy my G2c but i have had a few loading issue but i blame my self for that..i moved up to the 15round mag it shoveled my issue. BIGHANDS!!!

The Taurus G2C was my first hand gun and I’ve had it for over a year with over 500 rounds with no major issues. You can’t go wrong with the price point.
Took my G2c to the range today for the first time. First time back shooting in many years, first time shooting 9mm. 50 rounds, no malfunction. Love the gun.
I've been telling folks Taurus has stepped their game up. They're making some good guns. Ok Taurus.

I own a stainless G2C. I've owned many, many guns. The G2C is one of only two I'd trust with my life, the other a Taurus G3. It has fired 6,000 rounds without failure. If I pull the trigger on my Taurus, I have absolute certainty it will go bang.

I had a weird magazine issue. One magazine, 7 of 8 rounds malfunctioned. Zero malfunctions on the next 250. I plan to take it to the range again next week and put another 100 or so.

4,000+ rounds through my PT-111 G2, same gun as the G2C, without a misfire, misfeed, or problem in the 5 years I've owned it. Eats all ammo: steel or brass case, FMJ or HP. Taurus has come a long way in the past several years.

I know a police officer and ccw instructor who's put one to the test. 7,000 rounds without cleaning it once before it failed
What's the big deal with not cleaning a gun and shooting a bunch of rounds through it. Any machine that is not clean will not perform well.

Seems a bit unrealistic that an officer and CCW instructor would put 7,000 rounds through any gun without cleaning it at all. People like that tend to have more common sense than most gun owners.

It's my bedside table gun. I did not like the trigger. I had to replace it. I now feel very comfortable with it.
I carry mine. It feels and shoots better than the Glock 43X and the Shield. Now the P365 that's a sweet little pistol. Gonna get one when I get a chance.

Taurus has stepped up quality and I can say from being a owner of g2c that it is an excellent gun and very accurate and reliability is great.
I ALWAYS have my g2c on me. It fits well in between my seat & center console. Fits so damn comfortable in the waist line if you prefer to carry that way, and fires so consistently. Love it man. So glad my man has done a review. Best gun channel right here
With a few upgrades around $45 with Lakeline parts ( stainless steel upper guide and stainless steel recoil spring) the G2c became my carry choice over my Glock and M&P. These upgrades fixed the spongy trigger feel and made it a much smoothest shooting pistol. Also very accurate. I have over 2000 rounds through this pistol post upgrades without one single issue.
My Glock 19 gen 5 could never beat this. I can shoot this gun single handed and get far superior groupings just stock bro.
Glock 19 gen 5 hands down however yes for the money great weapon. 😊

Great video. I love all your videos. I have a PT111 G2. I used to use to put my full trigger finger all the way thru to shoot and I had horrible results. I didn't have any consistent groupings, the end of my index finger repeatedly got pinched until it nearly bled. I never knew when it was going to break. I would press a little, nothing, then press a little more, nothing. Thru watching other CZcams videos, I saw the problem I had for nearly all my shooting with this pistol. Only use the very tip of your trigger finger. After the initial take up, align your sights, press the trigger in one fluid motion, and it goes bang! It made a world of difference for me. Hope this helps someone.
It’s truly amazing how smaller hands affects the impression of a firearm. The trigger sold me. My son bought this pistol, most likely due to price and reviewer recommendations. I didn’t have any interest in shooting it...but to maintain harmony at the range I took my turn with it. I wasn’t counting, but I’m sure you disparaged the trigger at least 8 times. My initial reaction to this pistol was extremely impressive. The trigger was crisp, a short reset, and though not frequently needed, the double strike capability turned it into a “gotta have it” for me. I’m pleased with to say that I now own one (gifted by my son). Shot it again last night...still loving it.
Your post and Hickock's review convinced me to go ahead and order one.
daniel picquet you humble me. I hope you find it as enjoyable as I do. I reload, and this pistol just eats up everything I put in it...from soft loads for my wife, to some real attention getters. Haven’t decided on a holster as yet, but will likely get another leather pancake holster from Winthrop Holsters. They just make good stuff here in Ohio.

The Trigger sold you? That's the first thing I noticed at the gun store. In my head I said yikes that's a bad trigger. The reset is good though that's all.
@@Goomba_N64some of the trigger issues can be fixed easily. Mine isn't terrible, except for an occasional catch that feels like the break

But all i recommend is getting a new trigger if possible. I need to as well.

Just shot my 1000th round (🏆) earlier and I still have never had a ftf, misfire, nothing and ive been shooting the last 400 rounds out of a Micro Conversation Kit and still not issues. What an amazing gun.
I've been carrying one for a year now. No problems with the gun yet after thousands of rounds, except for tightening the rear sight two times. Love it!
Love this gun. Ate everything I fed it out of the box. I upgraded the recoil assembly and striker guide. She's a cheap workhorse and my current edc.

Have the pt111 g2. I love it, never had a malfunction, Taurus is building some great budget friendly reliable firearms.
Yes, I call it the OG Version. Only difference between pt111 vs G2C is that pt111 has internal locking system

Bought a Taurus PT 92 as my first gun 25 years ago and still have it. Has been one of the best guns I've ever owned. Bought many more and more expensive guns since then, but still love and believe in the Taurus brand.
Purchased two of these for my adult children to carry. Love 'em! Absolutely no issues since we've had them.
So I purchased the G2C this year and love it, I’ve had other pistols that the trigger was way worse than this little pistol. Great price point for an everyday carry and love the fact I have 12 rounds x 2 mags. Thank you for the video been wanting and looking for your thoughts on this gun.
Just bought one yesterday since Iowa's constitutional carry went into effect on the 1st. First handgun I've ever shot and felt comfortable and fun to shoot. Only bought 1 box of fmj and blew through it in minutes. Only complaint is reloading the mags.

My local AG Store had a sale on the G2C. Couldn't believe the price.....$200 after rebate. Bought it. Absolutely, unbelievably one of the best pistols I have ever owned......and I've owned dozens in my lifetime. I liked it so much, I bought a 2nd one. THEN..I bought the G3. Taurus nailed it with the G-series pistols.
G2c is the Hyundai Sonata of guns.
I don’t like it but the gun you get for the prices is unbeatable. Taurus has a shit history but they nailed it with the G2c. Got 3 friends (new shooters) to buy them when they were tight on money, and needed it fast because they were worried about being unarmed living in areas where BLM was tearing shit up.
I’ll stick to my Glock 19. But I will recommend with 100% confidence the G2c to anyone on a budget. You can get one between $215-$275 depending on where you go at this time (January 2022).
IMO trigger feels like crap, but new shooters don’t realize it. I think the gun is ugly, but the bastard still performs, don’t like manual safety’s, but they are good IMO for new shooters. Mags are kinda expensive, not much aftermarket support. But it’s still worth it. Just DONT Aget a hi-point ($150-$220) or Jimminez (around $100)
If you can’t afford a G2c get a phoenix HP22 ($140-$200 or a sccy 9mm ($190-$235)
Just because you’re short on cash doesn’t mean you can’t protect yourself
And if you can't get a gun or have the money a good edc pocket knife is only $30 to $40 buckets

The G3C is already out, better sights, 3 12-round mags and a much improved trigger.
Hickok can do very well no matter what the trigger. He has handled sooo many firearms that a horrible trigger to him is a pretty good trigger for many..many shooters.
I always wanted to try this gun. But i waited and they introduced the G3 and G3c. Boy am i glad i did. The improvements they made to this design made it a no-brainer .The trigger and 3 mags clenched the deal.
$40 can get you a new trigger too, a lot of upgrades for them as well

Keep tinkering makes great triggers for these guns. He’s small and he mostly sells on eBay. I have a single action trigger from him in mine and I love it.

@@gregt5421 The G3 is the full size, it's been out for several months. The G3C is the replacement for the G2C, and the biggest change is the trigger.

I picked one up after I taught a woman to use hers. Except for a longer trigger pull, nice compact carry nine. Inexpensive truck gun.Good capacity, good accuracy. I almost got a second one for the car. I still may.

I've had mine for 9 months, 500 rounds later no problems.
I bought one, only other Taurus I had was a snub nose, and I didnt have too high of expectations since the G2C was on sale for 179. Well after 500 rounds its one of the best shooting firearms I own, and I own all the big names, except glock, we dont do those. The G2C is impressive in general, and exceptional due to the price point. Cant go wrong.
I own and carry it everyday.. Great EDC gun!!!!. I also own a Glock 27 and Taurus Ultra Light .38 Revolver.. Love them all but I carry my Taurus G2C the most for the last year...

I own both a Taurus PT-111 Millennium Pro and a Taurus G2C. I paid around $200 for the PT-111 (used) and $179 (new) for the G2C. I love them both. I have found them to be very reliable and they eat all kinds of 9mm ammo well.
I have the PT111 G2 and love it. Once they started this design, they had a winner. I’ve put thousands of rounds through it without a single failure. Thanks for bringing the G2C in. Taurus fixed their game and no longer deserves the bad reputation.
I Love my Taurus handguns...I started with a matte finish casull,then a nickel one. Then a millennium pt111,its never let me down,so I started purchasing the newer models,double stacks take the same mag...I also got a single stack g2 ...all of them run great.

My wife and I each have one. We both put well over 1000 rounds throught both of them with no malfunctions, misfires or jams. No matter the ammo.

Nothing but respect 'H45' My father had Acromegaly disease and his hands were very large. He complained about the same trigger issues with various firearms even Smith& Wesson. Which he won shooters comps. He was a LEO. RIP. OLD MAN

I carried a g2c for couple years and it's flawless for me now I keep in rotation with my canik tp9 elite SC. I still love taurus!

Love mine a lot more when I replaced the double action trigger with a single action. Also replaced the striker guide and recoil guide rod and spring with stainless. Great gun.

My wanted to get her first conceal carry gun so my partner and I brought her to the range with a bag full of various firearms. She shot Berettas, she shot Smiths, She shot Glocks, she shot revolvers. She ended up deciding on the G2C. Wouldn’t have been my first choice for her but she is comfortable with it and I’m glad to hear it’s reliable!

I love mine, I have the PT111 G2, I’ve easily put over 2k rounds through it with no issues. My favorite carry pistol. It was $175 preowned.
I was looking really closely at one of these a while back as a carry option, I ended up with a S&W Shield 9mm. If I did buy another small pistol I might give one of these a try, the man at the gunshop I go to spoke pretty highly of them.
I had my pt111g2 for several years now and I have upgraded all the interals on the slide to stainless steel. I love it

You know, I ve watched so many Hickok 45 pistol reviews over the years and I hate to inform everyone. It’s not how good or average these pistols are friends, it’s just that Hickok 45 is about the best pistol shot out there. He makes them all so darn accurate. Keep em coming Hickok, you are the man.
I bought one and I wasn't sure about it because I have had mixed results with Taurus over the years, but for the price, I couldn't say no. It ended up turning out to be one of my everyday carry weapons. It's a great weapon and actually extremely accurate. Trigger is different, but if you can get over that, it's a great firearm.

I just killed a hog with my G2C, head and shoulders hits on him. Every time you pull the trigger it goes bang. I edc my G2C and can bet my life on the reliability of it.
this is definitely the best handgun for under $300. highly recommend it. just got one a week ago and i really like it
I was very relieved to here you say that you really do like this one. Other than the trigger, which I can understand because I was reluctant at first but I love the grip and how it fires! Couldnt turn it down for only about 250 brand new out the box. Thanks Mr Hickok!!

Mine too. Prefect time because heard so many bad things about Taurus but almost all agree that they turned out around with the G2C. I now have it, the G3 and am waiting for the G3C to be shipped from Bud's. Inexpensive, reliable and accurate, Taurus for the win!

I have 2 of these G2C, both bought brand new. One malfunctioned on the second visit to the range. The other has at least 1500 rounds through it, never had a problem.

My CCW is my FN9C but I've liked the G2C for many years now. I've bought and sold 3 of them. Accurate, nice ergos, reliable, & just all in all a great budget gun. Not to mention it comes in gray with black now.
