Got the G3C for 249.99 a couple months ago (October 2020). Unquestionably feels like the biggest steal I’ve ever gotten in a firearm. Got a rubberized grip wrap and it feels among the most natural fit in my hand of all my guns. Cycles smooth, zero hiccups, three mags worth about $100 themselves, excellent accuracy. The trigger is phenomenal after you get used to the long initial travel. 110% satisfied with this purchase.

I'm Brazilian too and not so happy about their position as far as not supporting pro-gun movement or the market reserve lobby in Brazil
But they're building these in Georgia now.
This is an amazing budget pistol. It's fun, responsive and so so reliable
Taurus' marketing department is genius, they listen to the customers and every new model is just an improvement in almost every way.
Lets not get carried away. This is literally the first auto loading defensive handgun series that Taurus has made that anyone would even consider mentioning in a serious sentence.
With that said, I hope they keep up the good work.
jim yeats the PT92 is literally made on beretta tooling and has an outstanding reputation. Lets not get carried away. Plus their revolvers have a great reputation. My taurus tracker is my favorite gun to shoot and i have quite a large collection ranging from taurus to kimber and everything in between
@@smgs921 So, notice I said their first "auto loading defensive handgun series". I am not counting a Beretta clone made by Taurus as a new handgun series, since you know, it isn't their design. Secondly, revolvers aren't known as "auto-loaders", which is why I specifically used that terminology.
So again, speaking to the original poster's comments; this is literally the first auto loading handgun series that Taurus has come out with - as an original design - that anyone would consider taking seriously, so let's not get carried away and say that their "marketing department is genius" for the one success they have had in the area of defensive handguns.
jim yeats you didnt say original design though. N it isnt as if the g2c/g3c is a new gun the g3c is the 4th generation of that firearm. I didnt say anything about their marketing team. The 709slim had a great reputation as well. Why the hate for taurus simply because they have made a good quality firearm for half the price of the competition? It allows more families to acquire a good gun to protect themselves and loved ones without resorting to a POS like a high point
@@smgs921 Did you not see the end of my post where I said that I hope they keep up the good work? Again, my response was to the original poster. I think it's a little silly to exclaim that Taurus has a "Genius" marketing team.
I am sorry that in my first post I didn't mention that I was talking about original designs. I assumed that would be implied since it would be a little embarrassing if they managed to mess up the Beretta 92.
I understand that the G2c isn't a new gun, again, I was talking to the original poster since we are talking about a handgun series and subsequent models.
You can be as upset as you like about someone being realistic about Taurus. They have a spotty reputation. I am glad this series of handguns seems to be working out well. Their TX22 seems to be a winner as well, but many many of their other offerings have not been. Their revolvers don't have a bad reputation but they aren't known in the gun community as "great", their "Judge" series is gimmicky, and most of their other pistols have a so so reputation. That is simply their reputation. Don't be all hurt about it since you own a Taurus and feel like you have to defend them. I am happy they seem to be improving their QC, hopefully it continues.
I own a taurus pt92, purchased in 1984, 20,000 rounds through it without a jam. THAT my friends is a quality pistol.

I bought one of these at my local farm supply store for my dad's birthday-- best $250 I've ever spent, and for an old(er) guy with declining eyesight, he shoots pretty well with it! The newer line of Taurus pistols is probably the best value in firearms right now.
Used one of these yesterday in my CCW test and liked it so much I'm getting one (as soon as the 13 day wait period for the guy who sold his to the shop expirers).

The G3C trigger itself has been much improved over the G2C!

The best line of the year, regarding the trigger: "I can't put my finger on it." Only Hickok could come up with that! He's a genius even when he's not trying to be one.
How is "I cant put my finger on it" Genius?
I mean if i understand correctly, the correlation between the finger on the trigger and not being able to put his finger on it (not quite know).
I mean that wouldn't really be genius at all lol. Just normal to say that, its a coincidence though that he's talking about the trigger...

Been a fan of Taurus for years, first pistol I bought 25 year's ago. Pt92
First my son purchased a G2c and a G2s and loved the guns, not to mention that he got them both for $500 total. I wasn't real keen on the trigger and then I saw this review on the G3c and decided to give it a go. Wow I am impressed with this hand gun. Yeah, with the current demand for guns and ammo, I did have to pay $335 for it, but I believe it is worth every dime and darn near as good as a $700 Glock.
Hello, how are you doing today?
You still got your g3c? Thanks
Walked In the shop this afternoon and bought an OD green version. Reasonable price and hopefully a long sprinter. Cant beat 300 and 3 mags. What a value and with a safety! My walther creed doesn't have that and is more expensive by a little
Three mags, small carry gun, reliability has gone way up. For the “better” brands, it’s starting to look like you’re paying for the name.
That's been true for Glock and Sig at least
I bought a G2C a few months back and it's been running error free for over 1,200 rounds. I'm already looking to add the G3C to the lineup. Taurus has stepped their game up. I got an M&P shield to add what seemed to be a higher quality firearm and I think I could have saved almost $150 for accessories and ammo. Now my M&P is reliable as well; that's a plus; however from breakdown to slide release and capacity in the same size, I'm siding with Taurus so far
The G2C was more reliable than the Sig 365 which people would have laughed at you said it a few years ago.
The better brand people will never believe you if you tell them that.
@J O Sig is not a Lexus... In fact, ever since they got the military contract, they've fell flat on their face.

I’ve had my PT111G2 for a little over 4 years. One of the best and cheapest purchases to date! Never a FTF or FTE, it has been just perfect since day one. The trigger has gotten better with time, must have worn in. Shooting off the short reset is a dream!!!
Bought the G3 1st of this year. Never had a jam, and it fits my hand perfectly. Took a little while to get used to the trigger. It's my EDC. Glad to see it's now got the Hickock45 approval rating.
Have you ever found the G3 difficult to EDC with it being full size? I got one too but I haven't carried it.
@@tee-starr1566 the G3 is definitely not a pocket carry being larger than the G2. But it has a very thin design, so easily concealed under a loose shirt or jacket. I can also open carry, so have it with me while fishing, hiking too.

i got mine 4 months ago, i got so much hate from my sister and my sisters husband and my uncle, all gun enthusiasts. my dad as well but he didnt say anything other than he heard they werent the best. as far as i can tell it seems everyone enjoys these guns and they seem reliable as hell, easy to service and maintain. love everything about this hand gun. i open carry with it everywhere i go. while ive grown up using guns ive never maintained them nor have i ever owned one. never felt it was needed since all my family has them, but just because they have them doesnt mean itll protect me when im alone. so i decided to purchase a handgun and im happy i did, i am going to the range for the first time this week to finally go shoot it since i finally have some time and some people to go with. cant wait to see how it handles.

How much you get it for?
Just took my newly purchased G3c to the range and I'm pleasantly surprised. No malfunctions and accurate.
I bought a G2C after much waffling. I have been nothing but impressed. The G3C looks like more of the same. My only complaint is the trigger. The trigger works, but it took some getting used to. It is decidedly not a "target trigger", but that's OK, I did not buy this as a competition gun. What it is, is a tolerable combat trigger. As I said it works. And so far, no malfunctions. I'll go ahead and say it. If you are looking for a defensive pistol, or just a fun gun, you will not be disappointed. The "double strike capability" is a real plus if you really like dry fire practice. You just don't have to rack the slide for every shot. 9mm Laser beams are a LOT less expensive than even 9mm ball!
If only I could find one

One of the changes the g3c made was the trigger, they put the trigger from the full size G3 in the G3C. I’ve had the G2c and now have a G3, and the G3 trigger is better.
I have the G2C and I couldn’t agree more. The trigger is not great but with practice it becomes a non issue. Dry firing with a laser target system is perfect with the 2nd strike feature. ....At the range that translates to consistent, accurate groups. Great gun for the money.

My neighbor got a G3c and my brother also. They both just love them. I shot my brother's gun. I liked it fine. He told me he bought it out of curiosity, did not know much about it, and gave it a try. He carries it all the time now. For the price, not bad. I did some reading on Taurus history and today's company is not the original company. The new operation has all new modern machinery, plant, etc. They are trying to do well it seems. I have one of their snub-nosed 38spl revolvers and it works like a champ. Thanks Mr. H. for another good video!
I own the Taurus th9c and love it, I can hit oil filters at 25 yards all day no issue. I was very impressed the first time I went to the range with it.
Hello how are you doing today?
Just bought on last month.....great value for the money. I paid 239.00 for the gun and a box of ammo.
WHERE ?????????? There's not a single gun ,long gun, shotgun , handgun on the shelves anywhere in Orange County .AND a box of ammo ? AND 239.00 ? WOW !
@@rickobrien4025 in from Virginia....we always have guns/ammo.....plus...it doesn't hurt when your buddy owns a gun shop.😉
@@2laughandlaugh I bet you can buy one and take it home the same day, TOO . kalifornia SUCKS !

Just bought one today 02-19-22 $249.99 sportsman’s warehouse and there is a mail-in rebate for $25 from tarus so $224.99 can’t beat that price!
I compared a S&W, Taurus, and Ruger revolver the other day, and while the S&W felt by far the best, I thought the Taurus felt much better than the Ruger and people love Ruger revolvers. It made me more open to taking a look or two at Taurus guns.
I love my g3c feels better in the hand then my sig or glock. Spectacular firearm. And I think it is the best looking subcompact by far.
I don't buy a firearm or a Jeep based on looks. No one will see my firearm in public so it can be the definition of ugly. As long as it goes bang when the trigger is pulled.
Man it’s 2022 I love this video i hope this man is still alive. This guy has a good heart.
I bought one of these. I carry it daily and keep it bedside at night. Perfect budget gun. ZERO issues and have put 500 rds through it. Only thing I don't like is how around the barrel looks like it's been filed off how the corners are slanted I hate that. But other than that it's perfect. Highly recommended
I purchased this about 3 years ago. From the first day it has jammed about every 10 shots. Sometimes it will fail to eject the shell, other times it will jam on the insert into the barrel. I've shot well over 300 rounds through it - all different brands of ammunition with the same results. I've also let others shoot it, they experienced the same jamming issues. I called Taurus - they totally dismissed my compliant and refused to provide any type of warranty.
Strange!
People say they run flawlessly
My GX4 is getting warranty support from Taurus right now. Did the same as yours and sometimes would not fire. Crazy had a lot of different ammo through it.
I had a G2C and I think you nailed the one issue some have with it...the trigger. It's very "spongy". Otherwise, it functioned great and was as accurate as it should be.
Anyway...great vid for an old guy. 😉
Just an awesome Leader in our Gun culture, Luv hickok45. Just a Great ambassador for the Firearms community! 💪 Thank You!
I've had smths, sigs, rugers, and many other big name guns. For some reason I enjoy my taurus pistols the best. Pt745,g2c,g3c,g3,m85,tx22,and 709 slim. All work without a hitch. The only one I had trouble with was the pt738. Taurus replaced it and made good on it. Can't complain. They just keep going.
