I owned two of these twin turbo soarers, though of a slightly earlier model. Great cars, solidly built, well engineered. Good for 150mph plus. Fabulous value for money. Built in the same factory as Lexus, were called Toyota because never exported, and at that time, Lexus was not a brand in Japan. Highly recommended.
and just a little fyi, stock for stock there's no difference in the stock tune except for a boost cut mapped in on the tt ecu which cuts it at 14 psi.. they both have a stock rev limit at 6,800 rmp.
or if you're in america you have a shitty n/a i6 that makes barely more power than a civic and drinks fuel like an alcoholic locked in a liquor store overnight. cant believe i own one...
4:04 , you might want to dispose of that red emergency flare. It should have been removed when it was exported and its illegal to have that in australia and you can get in a bit of trouble for it
cheaper? maybe if you can drill out the block yourself so you can actually put the gte head on it... however for most people we have to take it to a machine shop and you still need all the 1.5jz supporting mods to do it and the 2jzgte head costs more than a 1jz head...
you must be talking from here say on the internet.. i'm talking from personal experience.. a 2jz-ge block is the EXACT same down to the part numbers when compared to a 2jz-gte block.. the only thing different about the motors are the heads & crank which are built completely different.

The digital is very 80's like "Hit the turbos Kitt!" but the fact that it's projected is very Toyota/Lexus. Do you still have the car?
in america and maybe some other parts of the world, that car is a Lexus. But it originally was a toyota soarer. built on the same assembly line as the toyota supra. 2jz no shieeet!
Hi does anyone here have one of these twin turbo 2 5 soarers auto and stock i read they do 0 to 100 in 7 seconds and 15 seconds flat quarter mile I thought even auto wd do say 6.6 and 14.6 quarter ??
oh i know what it's called & i know how common it is too.. i also know how common it is to see them being torn apart all the time because it's pretty much a shit setup & the cheaper way out of doing it the right way with a 2jzgte head
@@esaikats10p it definitely can be tuned and make more obvious v8 torque is obvious especially under boost. What exactly does "less tunable" mean? 🤣 we have stock 1uz blocks making 800hp with boost it's all over youtube.

Toyota makes Lexus as explained by KDJ12ify they are only called LEXUS coz they're made for U.S market hence LuxuryEXportsUS. Hope this helps

or you can do a gte head swap, cams, single turbo t67 single turbo setup and tune and have an easy 600hp for less than 5k...
