It’s all happened before. Westland Dairy got into a hopeless debt position and a Chinese dairy company took them over.
IT is because they spent so much money on their SAP implementation
We have a Chinese dairy set up in Kawerau so watch this continue though NZ
Think he's a bit out of touch cos I know 3 dairy farmers who have gone under and my son works for a dairy farmer who is selling machinery and tractors etc, as he'll be gone by Xmas.
...you will eat ze bugs!
Those farms are still farmed as dairy farms, just by new operators
Farmers go out of business all the time so is unremarkable
When land value rises the one's that are mortgaged to max sell an do very well thank you very much
Be honest Don't lie .to yourself not helpful

@@laurence7426 only if they haven’t been equity mining just to pay the bills.
At the end of the day whatever the business model it still needs to pay its own way.

Did he ever take them to Court?
Cross The Rubicon?? 🤔
All farmers need to review their fertiliser usage, don’t believe what the industry are telling you. If your animals do better when grazing the road side or other non developed parts of your farm. Ask yourself why. If you have noticed an increase in animal health issues as you develop your farm, why continue? Steep back and take a good look at the bigger picture.
No dairy cow does better grazeing the roadside as opposed to pasture
