Mercedes ASD has a base pressure when engine is running even when there is no speed difference between tires. When shut down pressure is zero and diff is basically open.. There is no spring plates between clutch disk. This info is from my memory.. If you install racing diff's junk locker in ASD you get actually working LSD.
Hello, I had the same idea, for mounting on a classC coupé w203. You can control it using hydraulic pressure and an accumulator. The system is called ADS at Mercedes. Thank you for your sharing. I will follow closely. Continued like this. And I congratulate you on making trackdays with this Magnificent Granny. In France we say it is in the old bowls that we make the best dishes
You have no idea how much I appreciate this info
Sir you are a legend
Do you have any more details from the donor car? Year and engine/trans configuration? Great video super info!

Asd diff is never open... 30 % is minimum all time.
@@persanders I read factory manual. Open without any pressure.
A 201 or 124 ASD diff has an inherent ~ 25‐30% LSD effect before the hydraulics
kick in, i.e. the ASD clutch pack, etc. has a built in LSD effect.
