  • I really like the Initiation Bruce Wayne character. Its very refreshing to be challenged with an underpowered character in direct contrast to the over powered shock gloves. Both the handy bat swarm and weapon disarm and destroy are also gone. Instead, he gets the Shuriken Volley special combo move which can only strike in one direction. The batclaw is replaced with Robin's zip kick. The over powered remote batclaw is also gone.
Without those fancy gadgets and abilities, the player is really challenged to go back to using raw combat skills and instinct to overcome challenges in both combat and predator maps.
Enemies on these new maps pretty much got only a facelift. Besides their appearances, I dont really find their behavior any different from their counterparts in the rest of the game.
The Shuriken Volley scores you 20pts per hit instead of 10 in the bat swarm. So this move can potentially score even more pts. However only a maximum of 8 enemies can be hit with each use.
A power shriken volley also leave behind caltrops and will knockdown a lot of enemies to give u a breather.
Bruce Wayne also have faster movement than batman so u can strike and counter a lot easier even without free flow focus. Together with the shuriken volley to stun enemies from time to time, You can dominate a fight.

Well i noticed you like to uhm...get a shitload of points in challenge maps, not a big fan of it myself, but, just a tip for you, if you want a tiny bit more points, then start breaking items whenever you can, since it gives you 1 combo point + 25x points, and it doesn't actually hurt them.
A bit funny, in order to get more points, we have too actually care for the ones we're beating the crap out of.

Thanks for the tip! Too bad Bruce Wayne cannot break stuff

Bill A, I was wondering what are your thoughts on the kujiki bomb in combat maps? Can it score just as much points as the shuriken volley, but for 3 uses only? Also, I wanted to know how long or how many times do you personally have to play a predator map in order to remember the map layout, patrol routes, and method of disposal? When I play predator challenges I just handle 1 medal at a time, but you seem like a man on a mission who knows exactly where he is going lol! Keep up the awesome vids!

Thanks! Yeah, for the predator maps, it does take a few playthroughs to figure out the "optimal" route. The time it takes depends on the difficulty of the map. Like you I pretty much work on one medal at a time and then try to put together the shortest route to achieve all the medals, looking at the most time consuming segments and see if I can shorten them. The more maps you do, the faster you will be able to figure them out. Patrol routes are not that important since as soon as you take someone out, The guards will break their routine instantly. So what I do a lot is observe enemy behavior when I take out guys at different locations and see how I can use their running patterns to my advantage.

In combat, I generally try to keep it simple and just stick with the basics and the highest scoring method available, which is usually the second special move for most characters. Some of these fights are difficult enough and you dont want to be preoccupied with too many abilities or gadgets.
The Kujiki bomb only scores 10 pts per hit, like the bat swarm, so the Shuriken Volley scores twice as high. But you dont have to build up your combo to use it. Its definitely something to use after building up a good combo.

What does the Shuriken Volley do apart from build points? It doesn't despatch adversaries. It seems to only briefly put them off from attacking in much the same way that the Bat Swarm works. There seems only to be one type of Takedown availble at multiples of 5x.
I'm having trouble with Stun/Aerial Attack (my guy ain't jumping) and avoiding those vicious sword wielding women when they have the yellow indicators.
