665 Combo Batman: Arkham Origins 100 to 1 Bonus Map Challenge with Batman: 3 Medals

- Just finished the story and got all of Batman's combat upgrades to complete a challenge.
I took advantage of the double special combo upgrade to get as many bat swarms in as possible. About 1M points is scored from the bat swarm.
The combo here is not as high as Nate's 700 combo probably because of the bat swarm spamming. He is a far more solid player than me, so you should definitely check out his video as well:

His map, which was from a HARD setting does not have attack warnings. I have also started the game on hard, but the map did have attack warnings, perhaps its another bug, similar to this map stopping on the 99th guy for many players.
Finally a worthy challenger for Batman Arkham Videos.

That is amazing I can only get up one hundred then I crack cause it's just super fast paced so I can never reach anywhere near 665 but that is amazing I can't even imagine how high your combo is in the arkham city infinite enemies maps
Thanks! You can definitely slow things down by staying in focus or by using the bat swarm. It does take some practice with countering and especially camera control to get good at this game. I do have some vids of the Arkham CIty fights posted here as well, So feel free to check them out:

Wow, incredible stuff, you read so much about how this games combat is meant to broken but see things like this and think "no just user-error". sure there are things that need to be fixed and tweaked but obvious the ability to create combos aren't completely broken as some claim.
Thanks! There are definitely some issues with the game. What people are really complaining about is actually performance and lag in the game that significantly reduces responsiveness... so of course you will lose your combo. That is especially bad in the open world. I have a pretty powerful system and still have to reduce the resolution to 720P to eliminate lag.
One thing that I noticed so far that is really broken is critical strikes and counters, which if well timed should give your multiplier 2 points. I had no problem with that in AC, but most of the time here in AO, it doesnt register. Quite frustrating!

funny you say that, day or so after i posted this i got to the end of the game. Started to finish all the side quests and finally got serious in challenge maps. I had done heaps during course of game but for some reason they are very different now. Something to do with whole critical hits are working, i get in this free flow of leaping from person to (almost beyond my control) just hitting each of them once and each fails to the ground, then unless I am quick enough on the draw i seem to always be punching air. It only happens badly once I go into the crits mode. Anyway once again thanks for the video.
Good stuff dude! You really deserve more views. Btw how do you avoid doing the blade take down? I've seen other people do it but I'm not sure if it's by accident.
Thanks for the support! Its not by accident. Early in the round, I do not want to do the blade dodge takedown as it doenst score many points. Just hold down the counter button during the entire blade attack and you wont take down the thug

I was able to get 530 hits, but I have noticed that all high combo videos for Batman Arkham games are via Keyboard and mouse, I have not tried PC and Keyboard yet but seeing trend I should, would it be possible to share some tips ? Awesome vidoes btw !
Thanks! Camera control is the most important factor in combat. A controller can never provide the same speed and precision a mouse can. Constantly moving that camera to keep as many enemies in view as possible is the key. Hope this helps. If you have more specific questions. I'd be happy to help.
I do know of one Controller player who got high combos using Catwoman, Robin and Nightwing. Thats only because they can stay in Freeflow Focus when using gadgets. Focus mode slows things down enough for a controller to work. But I dont think it works too well when enemies move fast.

Dude, You are insane. 665 combo is the best I have seen sofar. I thought BAV is the best player to play BMan but you played better than him. Best 100-1 I found so far! But why most of people prefer playing on PC than console?
Thanks for sharing my vid and your compliments. I definitely prefer the mouse and keyboard because of the speed and precision of camera control that is not possible with a controller. I do notice however, that others play on the PC probably because of the better hardware

i play on PC, but with a custom controller because it is much more comfortable especially when building large combos, quickfiring gadgets and performing special moves, btw i have never owned a console and the only games i've played on them were San Andreas (keyboard n mouse > controller obviously) and FIFA (but i suck at it anyways)

I've been wondering. Is it a good idea to use the Shock Gloves? Theoretically, since they're suppose to do more damage to enemies, you would want to refrain from using them so that enemies are alive longer to help build up your combo count, an I right?
I havent experimented extensively without using the shock gloves to see which is the best way to build a higher combo. One thing that has been done a lot with AC maps is you can try is try striking each enemy to within a hair of being KOed and then activate the shock gloves to finish them off with its 2X multiplier. I suppose that can be the most efficient way to build a high combo.
I dont think I have the patience or the attention span to attempt something like this on this map LOL
When I started to play Origins, it felt like Batman was slower than in City. Has anyone had the same feeling?
yep definitely. In fact they toyed around with the speed in both games. Origins started out fast. After a few patches, it slowed down. In City, the initial release of the game also seems to be faster. Later versions, such as the Game of the Year edition has slower pacing

That really disturbed me at first. And since I'm playing on PS3, I had trouble with the triggers L1 and L2 that were reversed from City to Origins. Turning the detective vision instead of throwing batarangs can be really dangerous.
I was really disappointed with the last one overall. Arkham Knight will probably make up for it
Korounet I agree. AO disappointed me for sure. There were so many bugs in the game, some of which they even openly said they wont fix.
Got a 669x combo on this map, 1.8 Million. you still got a higher score than me cause of takedowns and bat-swarm.
