  • I decided to try the other combat maps with this character to see how good the Shuriken Volley is for scoring. So far it does seem that he has even higher scoring potential than Batman. However, I was unpleasantly surprised with bugs... or maybe I should not be surprised... with WB's current track record. Blade Dodge takedowns on the ninjas here will make me lose my combo if a certain animation comes up.
    I just couldnt risk using that move in the later rounds. Probably could have scored higher if it wasnt for this bug.
    I felt that this map is slightly easier than Seishinteki Kyoyo mostly because of a larger arena for me to evade away from the ninjas. Otherwise the strategies are similar. You can check out that vid for tips:

    I didn't test it very much but the volley didn't seem to do any damage compared to the staff slam and bat swarm. I tested this in 100 to 1 and don't recall anyone dropping from it. That with the x20 multiplier launches Bruce light years ahead of poor Deathstroke. ;__; Batman, I'm not sure, since he has the Shock Gloves.
    I haven't had the Ground Pound glitch on me very often. Aerial Attack randomly breaking my combo has happened way too much apart from the laundry list of other things in combat.

      Thanks! Thats what so great about the volley, less damage and more points, keeping enemies around longer to score even more. The temporary stun it does also buys a good amount of time for beatdown finishers.
      Ground pound often glitches on me during predator runs. Very annoying as it waste a good second.
      I have never had a problem with the aerial attack though. You do know that you only gain temp immunity on riot shield enemies, otherwise you are vulnerable to attack while you are in the air. If you land on an armored guy, you will lose you combo. If the shield guy is within a tight group of enemies, you can easily land on the wrong guy and lose your combo.

      I know how aerial attack works :p I meant that it will randomly break the combo if you use it correctly. I don't use it anymore in Origins because of this and just break the shield. I've had a lot of face palm moments going for high scores when the combo breaks because I decided to sit on a shield dude's face. We're, what, 5 patches in now and nothing's been fixed? arghgh

      sshplur Oh ok, sorry didnt mean to be presumptuous :) Its just that I never had a problem with it... as you may notice from my vids that I use it a lot. I assume you are not using the PC version? I would love to know under what circumstance does it break combos.

      sshplur I know what you mean by WB's bugs. Too many to name. After keeping a close watch on their laundry list of fixes, they seem to be focused on story/quest related fixes, where they probably get the most complaints. As far these technical glitches that only hardcore players like us run into, I dont believe that is anywhere on WB's radar as something they need to address. The bug that annoys me the most is the broken critical strikes. You need to wait around a second between strikes for it to work... even then, it sometimes dont work

      Lol no prob. I'm playing on xbox but I played the PS3 version quite a bit and it happens on both. I'm not sure what causes it. I think it's just the game trying to be funny, at this point. And then I make more sad faces. :(
