He should do a kitchen nightmares episode where he gets all his frozen dinners brought out to him. "RUBBISH"
I think you mean "F*CKING RUBBISH"
Except he shouldn't know it's his own shitty dinners that are being served up to him; let him unknowingly talk shit about them and then it can be the 'big reveal' that it's his own brand.
😂😂😂
If it doesn't include a bottom crust, then it ain't a pot pie, it's stew with a lid.
Toupée
I’m glad that Larry does this for us, the people, so we don’t have to!
Dude a $1.00 banquet pot pie looks better than this out of the oven.
Ramsey is just following his hero; Chef Gusteau from Ratatouille 😂
Wow! Chicken pot pie! My 3 favourite things! 👍
whats the pot for? oh ya to cook in of course
😂😂😂😂🤘🏻🤘🏻🔥
I am so happy for these reviews. I was in an American Wal-Mart store just a few weeks ago buying some grocery items not available here in Canada. I would have purchased some of these Chef Ramsay frozen entrées (as the picture looks delicious) had I not been forewarned. Thank-you, Larry, for saving my money.
Ramsey on every cooking show -
"Frozen? You donkey!"
Ramsey with his face on a frozen, processed meal -
👍👍👍
Might as well change the Gordon Fisherman to look like Ramsay
He is getting a bit yellow.
Save face, Gordon Fisherman, er, Ramsey!
The term "piehole" is spot on, now.
Maybe Larry should say, "into my chicken-pot-pie-hole" on this vid?
I'll stick with Marie Challenders chicken pot pies. 🐔
Yea they got good uns
Marie calendars are good but it’s loaded with junk. Chicken all has soy protein fillers in every variety.
My favorite. The crust is spectacular.
I absolutely hold Ramsey 100% accountable for the quality of HIS pot pies. It's his good name on the box and as such are a reflection on him and only him.
Gordon can't even make a grilled cheese sandwich, so I wouldn't expect quality from him anyway. I can't recall anyone talking up his cooking other than him.
Yes! Even when he "re-did" the grilled cheese it was still awful. 😂 I don't understand that guy.
Scooter impressions are still on point!!
Chicken thigh enjoyer! The thigh is the best part of the bird, especially the calf muscle. that's the tiger's meow.
Gordon Ramsay selling out more and more 😂 I don't know why people expect his products to be 5 Stars, he is just a actor
Agreed. A total sellout. I guess his TV career has fizzled. He needs the money. 🙄
Professional chef not an actor
@@michaeldunham3385 He also acts for his shows so he is indeed a actor/chef 100 percent. Look it up
Gotta be able to afford repopulation of england with all his brats that living off his name on social media and those supercars he loves
@@michaeldunham3385 Both bro. In reality tv everyone is an actor to a certain degree. It's required.
I agree about the chicken thighs.
I buy the Banquet Pot Pies a lot during the fall/winter months
For the price, they're worth it
@@youtube.commentator and they taste better. Especially over rice or mashed potatoes
@@easyontheeyes78ohhhh, that sounds delicious! I'm going to have to try that❤
@@feleciaclemons5074 When I used mashed potatoes, I cook them in chicken broth then sprinkle cheese in the mashed potatoes, mix it all up then pour the pot pie on top
@@easyontheeyes78 if you say one more thing,I'll be at your door with the ingredients for dinner tonight🤣💖
Love Your Reviews Larry!
I feel it is somewhat fair to aim product criticisms at the man himself. He might not have personally developed the recipe or overseen the production of the pies, but he's an extremely famous celebrity whose name carries immense weight in the culinary world. He has a responsibility to audit the products and services he's endorsing. He's also an extremely wealthy person. He's not in a position where he has to be selling bad pies at extreme mark-ups to make a living. Not saying the man is evil. Just that he's either ignorant of, or disinterested in, what his likeness is being used for.
Hard to mess up pot pie. Even Banquet are edible.
Glad to see you review this, though I wish it had been just a bit earlier! I had one of these last week via microwave while i was sick and unable to stand long enough to cook for myself, and I think I would have been better off not eating! The crust ended up just like a dry cracker.
A different reviewer said the same thing about the crust. You might as well get a can of pot pie soup for about a third of the price and throw some crackers on it.
“The crust ended up like a dry cracker.”
So it tasted like Gordon Ramsey.
another stunning dish by chef Michael aka the microwave
I make pot pie bowls for my son and I occasionally. Cook two pot pies in the oven. Make some instant mashed potatoes. Grate your favorite cheese (sharp cheddar for us). Cook frozen corn. After the pies are done, place one in a Tupperware on top of a tiny bit of mashed potatoes. Place a little cheese on it. Place a healthy amount of mashed potatoes. Now put on some corn. Finish with a little more shredded cheese. Salt and pepper to taste along the way during the building process. If you want the cheese a little melty, microwave for 30-45 seconds. Now enjoy. We really enjoy this filling dish!
The RnD guy would be like "chef, it is fresh frozen."
I miss the 1970's when a pot pie was 19 cents, or you could get it at the day old store for 10 cents.
It was mostly a Hostess Pastry store. All bread, cakes, and pies were 10 cents. And burgers were 5 for a dollar. And now it is 50 years later. Has anyone seen my time machine?
I love banquets pot pies chicken and or beef and my stores sell them for $1.99 sometimes at grocery outlet get them for $ 1.09
Thank you Larry!
I had this chicken pot pie and it is different but I enjoyed it! Beauty is in the eye of the beholder 😮
100% agreed on the chicken thigh argument. Better in every way.
Good review, thanks for sharing YAH bless !
Now that there is one helluva diss, saying a _Banquet_ Chicken Pot Pie is better.
This and the caper chicken are my favorites.
That's one of my favs of Chef Ramseys meals.
I had some last night and it was delicious!
I love your scooter voice and the name scooter! Scooter is a real tooter if you know what I mean… lol
I love you, Scooter! 😂
Looking at that ingredient list, I am intrigued by the "seal salt".
Gordon has reached the "Capital One" phase of his career...
It didn't look that great to me, thanks for the good review. I appreciate all the videos you make. They are normally the highlight of my day
Gordon ramsay is smiling at you ;)
Once I heard the price, the first thing I thought of was Banquet pot pies. Even if the Gordon Ramsey pot pie was stellar, I am not spending that much for it. Now I want to go get some Banquet pot pies!!!
May Calendar is my favorite.
Worked at a chicken processing plant. Every so often they would give thighs away or just put in the dumpster. Crazy
I suggest we invent the octo-chicken so each "bird" has 8 thighs.
If you apply Ramsey's culinary "standards" exhibited in his television appearances, 4 out of 10 is a very generous score.
0:45 When the 1-star reviews outnumber the 5-star reviews, BEWARE.
When I see a pie like that....I just look at it!
It looks like something I would make at home in a hurry, something I would be happy to eat or serve to guests, but I would not start selling it to the public.
👌
I tried his shepherds pie based on your video on it.
I'm talking your opinion now and am passing on this one!
Thanks for saving me $6!
I've seen these at my local Walmart, but was unwilling to spend approx. $5.94 on one of them for my own meal (when I was buying frozen pizza for my husband and son). I seem to recall you doing a comparative review of other pot pie brands, so I suppose we'd all be better served by one of those other brands.
Is actually chicken soup in a pie crust
I also agree that thigh or dark chicken meat should be in frozen foods. Breast should either be canned or processed to be used in fresh food.
It's a waste to put the breast in frozen foods especially when many people still dont know how to cook it.
The French have learned a few techniques but the originals who made chicken breast the best were the Indians. Chicken breast belongs in curry's where it can be added and simmered until cooked and absorb the flavors of the sauce.
Banquet flakey crust is the best for the price!
💯💯💯💯💯
Yay scooter voice
In Gordon Ramsey voice "Chicken Pot Pie?!...More like Chicken Sh*t Pie!"
I agree with your comment, to use CHICKEN thighs, would be better.
COLEY FOLEY SAYS: THE "MRS. BUDD'S CHICKEN POT PIES" (FOUND IN THE "MEAT DEPT." AT YOUR SUPERMARKET) ARE THE BEST "CHICKEN POT PIES" YOU CAN BUY...
It has no bottom part of the pie crust looks like a pot pie made wrong it is yummy 😋 and delicious
Can't expect much from chef Mike.
I saw on a chicken nugget package “100% white breast meat” and in little letters under it said “with other meat”
I'll stick with making my own. It's more fun then pressing buttons on the microwave. Love your channel btw
Has MUSHrooms.. Yeah, F' that!
It's like ramsey looked at a Fray Bentos pie (the ones in a can) and went "Hmm, how can I make this much worse?", and there you have it, right there... :P
The best industrial chicken pot pie I've ever tasted was the Stouffer's pie from the '70s, the one with only the crust on top. It was flaky, the filling was rich and creamy, full of chicken, carrots, peas and stupendously flavorful mushrooms. That product sadly died in the '80's (in Canada, at least) and its replacement, the current Stouffer's pie, is a shameful insult to all chicken pies. My preferred one these days is the Mère Michel one. It's very cheap, very tasteful, with a crust and sauce that make a perfect, tasty blend.
Banquet pot pies are really hard to beat. I dont like the dark meat or peas so I pick them out and feed them to my dog. Homemade chicken pot pie is easy to make and delicious. I can control the amount of sodium, which is important, because I have high blood pressure.
Marie Calenders makes a tasty pot pie.
Where are you, in Texas??
Boston Market has the BEST frozen potpie imo
👍👍👍👍
Hello Larry! IF I opened it and Saw there's nothing there. After paying 5$. I'd tell Gordon to suitcase it
It's "Fresh Frozen"!
5 bucks fer a pot pie!?! that's highway robbery, especially since it didn't look much better than a banquet pie.
I think for the price I'd rather have a Banquet chicken pot pie.
Looked more like a suet crust than puff pastry. And for the much $$$ they could at least have filled more than half the bowl.
please do Chef Ramsay's Shepherd's Pie, 10 oz Bowl next. me and my dad thought it was good. just not a lot of food for the price o.o
Yay! Salt city shit potpie!! Love your vids Larry
Why are these bowls half empty?
Seriously, I can get a 7oz 1 1/4" deep 5x5" pot pie at Aldi for under a buck and there's food top to bottom. Ramsey charges you the big bucks for dead air.
Give me a down and dirty Banquet Pot Pie anytime. I make my own pot pies now that I live where Banquet isn't available and there is not 'meat mush' to be seen when you make your own.
is this a rebranded banquet pot pie?
Not even close.
Scooter is spot on. 😊
I really think Gordon has had more stress than anyone on the planet judging by those fault lines in his forehead! Also...I think Scooter may be going downhill in the mental capacity department...someone get him a helmet!!!😂😂😂😂 thanks Larry! I will never turn down an honest review❤
He's a Michelin starred chef.
I don't understand how something can be so salty but have zero taste.
Ramsey seems to love his salt. Watched a video of him cooking a hamburger and he must have salted it at least 4 times.
@@valvenator I'm more talking about the processed food. It is so salty and bland.
So, real talk. The Banquet show EXACTLY what's inside and how it looks. Chef Ramsey's shows what looks like ACTUAL chicken breast chunks(because you can see the actual grain of the meat), but is that what is actually in it, or do they have the 'formed chicken' squares/pieces in it that are made from a slurry?
If the food on the box doesn't match the contents in looks and so on; it's basically false advertising. Fast Food companies were actually getting sued for this because what they were showing on the menu weren't matching what customers were receiving; and they had to start prepping their sandwiches to better reflect the pictures on display rather than slopping them in a container; particularly when the picture shows a nice chunky chicken breast fillet on a bun, and what you get is a flimsy chicken pattie on a deflated and soggy bun.
My dad loves the Banquet chicken pot pies done in the oven; whereas I'd rather make a chicken in the oven, have it for dinner, and any leftover chicken pick off the carcass and make a really good chicken casserole.
Where is the rest of it?
Another great review and saving us the people $$.
I'm all for people getting rich on their own name. But I have to keep a budget. And the buck and quarter pot pies are ok with me.
Is it really a frozen pot pie if it doesn't have a top AND bottom crust? Nah. And don't microwave ones that do. 😉
Marie Callender's, FTW.
got beat by Banquet.
Now I... don't have to.
I will stick to Marie Calanders pot pies.
No thank you, for the price I will make my own.
Prolly the smallest pot pie I've ever seen. Well done Gorden...
It looked small. And for six bucks!
Banquet is the cheapest and the best!
Banquet
Salute about the chicken thighs, but they require more processing so you're not gonna see that.
Chicken being the last ingredient is just sad.
i would give that a 2 out of ten and here's my logic, if i could go to kfc and get a chicken pot pie for under 6 bucks made with real chicken and rate that an 7 or 8 out of ten this one is no way a 4, you were very generous with this one. i will say the kfc pies have got a lot smaller in the last few years but they are still more value then this one
I see the problem. They forgot the pot. If the pie were half pot, people wouldn't care what it tastes like.
