Paul was my favorite player growing up. I loved watching him and James battle each other in the playoffs. He made the King leave his team and then almost beat him when he came back with his Super team. If he had more help earlier in his career he would have more championships.

Pierce was THE reason to watch the Celtics for a decade and then was the de facto best player on the original superteam in '08. Pierce could have had a Kobe like or LeBron like career if he had the opportunity to draw in free agents like the Lakers do, or left Boston to join up with other stars like LeBron did twice (about to be 3 times). He stayed loyal to his fans until they traded the whole team for KG and got Ray Allen to sign (biggest free agent ever until Horford and Allen was well past his prime), then Pierce showed us what he could do with talent around him. His teams were so bad that in '07 when he went down the team had the worst season in franchise history (and still only got the 5th pick when they should have had #1 or #2 to get Kevin Durant, I still wonder what a Paul Pierce, young KD, Perkins, Rondo, Al Jefferson team would have done) with only 18 or 19 wins.
Ray Allen was traded for from Seattle.
Pierce wasn't the best player on 08 team he was the best scorer kg, was all round the best player on that team .he won defense player of the year and finshed top 3 in mvp voting while Pierce,finshed 14th tied for last kg ,could of easily been the finals mvp but it was a toss between the two.
I don't even like Ray anymore, but I can't stand misinformation. Ray was a draft night trade. KG was a summer trade. Ray had his best scoring season in his final year at Seattle with 26.4 ppg at 31 years old. You talking about he was well past his prime at the age of 32 (His birthday is in July before 07-08 started). I know you weren't calling Kobe, LeBron, Wade, Durant, Harden, etc well past their prime at 32 years old. Stop that nonsense. Only the 07-08 Celtics seem to get called old when you don't keep that same energy for other players.

Overrated and carried by KG and Ray Allen. Before the big 3, the Celtics with Pierce only made the playoffs 4/9 times and before the team stacking bs, they didn't even make the playoffs for 2 straight years and had worst franchise record (15 wins 😂). Complete turnaround after the team stacking bs. Remember the Celtics traded their entire roster for KG 😂.
