That age is still an up and coming talent in sports who still needs development and experience. Prime age in sports ranges from 25-28 years old. He didn't reach his prime. 22 years old as an MVP, he was still an up and coming youngster at that age. People just thought of it as his prime because of how good he was. But actually prime age in sports ranges between 25-28 years of age, and after that your accumulated experiences would also play a factor and enhanced your overall skills set. He was unfortunate but still lucky to be able to play at a high level player for the bench. And I believe he could still be a solid starter but he's known to have low durability so he's suited as a backup PG.

Watching these highlights brings me to tears ngl. Came from the rough neighborhoods of south side Chicago, recruited by his local NBA team, becomes the MVP, then falls back a ton after a series of tragic injuries. He may be a shadow of his past in terms of physical capability, but he has been reborn a much more wiser player & man than before. One of the wisest players in the league afaik. Pouring out gold in all his recent interviews.
Now in 2023, he’s in the same team with Ja Morant, who is the polar opposite in terms of upbringing, but shows similarities in his plays. A master and disciple scenario that I can’t keep my eyes off of. Let’s all see how the torch gets passed down.

I remember when the news broke he had a torn ACL. My dad and I both cried, it was the first time he and I had consistently been watching basketball in our lives together… Rose was something else, brought life to Chicago when he was in his MVP years. You could drive down any street in chicago and see a kid with Derrick Rose 1’s on his feet, or cars and houses with Chicago Bulls banners. Felt like a better city when he was here🥲

The way he killed dudes who are bigger and taller than him is phenomenal, D-Rose control over his body in the air and how he takes off are not from this world. I hate what happenend to him back then, I am still a Bulls fan (even tho they are giving me major depression ever since) and I will always be grateful what he gave for the franchise. Not to mention I will always be a fan of his, don't care where he goes.
D-Rose made things that a PG shouldn't be able to do, lol. I had people back then asking me "This is what PGs doing now?", they couldn't believe what they saw and I couldn't either. His explosiveness just made him injury prone sadly. He took off like a rocket and landed veeeery hard. He had a reckless game but it was beautiful at the same time. A gift and a curse. Thank you for everything D-Rose, you are the man.

#1 finisher in my opinion. The way he just stays in the air and does the most acrobatic layup i have ever seen is beyond amazing

I really miss this team. I have never been a person who watches sports, I played most of them but didn't enjoy watching until I seen this dude play. I was at a family cookout, uncle had a bulls game on and I knew I was watching something special. Was a really good few years but haven't watched since, oh what could have been.
