I’m only at the 19 min mark but here my biggest observation so far: Money can’t buy intelligence. This guy is barely coherent. And this has to be the detective’s easiest confession in their entire career. Wow.
He did use the word 'ensued' at one point. It was like a rose growing out of a concrete sidewalk of of "like." That impressive $50k a year education at work.
The way he just so nonchalantly admits to abusing her and invading her space is CRAZY. I wonder if in his mind what he was doing was normal, or at least not that bad.
Probably sees it as she pushed him to that point or something to that effect that in one way or another it's her fault this happened. He reminds me of Richer Breault from TCAP Riverside, check it out.
I think it was pretty standard. Wasn't premeditated murder. He didn't intend to murder her. Those things go a long way. I've seen way lighter and heavier sentences for worse crimes. I'd say this sentence was probably average.
The male officer: “I got your back partner, don't you worry, I watched Matlock in a bar last night. The sound wasn't on, but I caught the gist of it.".
That trial is infuriating. His teammates testifying against him knew he was abusing her but never reported him at the time. Her neighbors heard her being beaten but never checked in on her - not even in the two hours that she lay dying. Noone gave a damn until she was dead. Disgusting.
It never ceases to amaze me how big strong men can toss around petit women and have no idea of the harm they are doing. His shock at having killed her is genuine, yet he inflicted such force, enough to give her brain damage and end her life. This is why the saying goes that “a man should never lay hands on a woman”. Unfortunately, this phrase is now poo pooed as chauvinistic, which is so far from the real reasoning behind it.
and there's people who genuinely believe it's cool for biological men to compete against women in sports. Hell no. Look at the damage a man can do. Imagine this guy playing volleyball against a 5'4 woman.
I think a lot of men aren't getting into as many fights so a lot of them do not know what it is like to get hit by a man. They literally can't understand the terrible effects it can have on a man, let alone on a woman.

I think he was fully mentally prepared for a jail sentence that he could maybe knock down to a fine his parents would pay, but I don't think it even occurred to him that prison for murder was even a possibility. Hence that reaction.
The amount of excitement I feel FINALLY seeing the return of JCS.... Hopefully everything's figured out and you all don't wind up screwed over by CZcams again. No content compares to these videos.
The sentence he got was very lenient considering he broke into someone’s house, busted their bedroom door in, then beat them to death and THEN tried to say she did it to herself. Him blaming her and not calling emergency services afterwards tells me that he’s a domestic abuser and he does this often-he expected her to walk it off and say she fell down the stairs or got hurt in lacrosse. He’s a domestic abuser that’s already claimed a life-he’ll end up either taking another life or learning the limits in how far he can take things at home without getting caught. We need to stop letting these people back into society.
Yeah, he's going to get out of prison even more desperate to immediately find a woman, and there is zero reason to believe he'll be any better...if anything, there's reason to believe he'll be worse, as his experience managing relationships with people in men's prison will not improve his relationship skills with women, only worsen them. He will be surrounded by assholes with even worse relationship skills than him, then thrown back into society. There's a very good chance he will still have his health & decent looks, and a good chance he'll even have wealth thanks to his family. At least if he was going to be in his 70s+, he wouldn't be able to romance women that easily....but no, he'll still have time & resources to sucker some unlucky woman into his orbit. I am very concerned about his future victims. If he doesn't end up victimizing more people in some capacity it will be pure luck...and when it comes to the wellbeing & lives of real people, I'd rather not be forced to say, "well, fingers crossed he gets unlucky and is taken out young." 🤞🙄

This is one of the saddest stories I’ve ever heard but I seriously cannot stop laughing at this dude. He’s such a stereotypical lax bro talking about murdering his ex girlfriend and says “it was like just like not like… a good conversation, you know?”
All she did was ask him about his week and he completely confessed to the murder. She didn’t even get to step 2 of her interrogation, he’s just so oblivious to how horrid his actions are.
I think he really thought he was being questioned for an assault and not murder. The fact that he was so casual about talking about putting his hands on her is scary though!
Since he apparently didn’t actually punch her, I think he thought this was going to be a minor assault charge that his rich family would minimize into a misdemeanor
Why is no one talking about Detective Lisa Reeves! Holy sh*t she played this flawlessly. The whole confession was orchestrated by her. It was beautiful.
@@faraazali9589 And also as a college athlete, who probably was used to getting into all sorts of trouble and then out of it with a slap in the wrist - because they are too valued by the institution to be expelled or face any real consequences. "My drama paper is due right now". Why would someone facing criminal charges ever willingly say that while being held by the police? This guy literally thinks he's talking to a school figure (as Jim aptly points out) and he thinks he knows all the steps to the dance: deny as much as possible, downplay what you can't deny, "I'm not a bad guy". Entitled rich kid, coddled college athlete who 100% believed he would walk away from assault charges without a scratch even though he trespassed, broke down a bedroom door to gain entry, refused to leave when told to and eventually left the scene leaving a bleeding and unconscious woman on her own bed - by his own telling of the story! This guy literally thought he'd just walk away with it - because he did, every time prior to that. He thought he would get away with literally anything short of murder. Yeardley's death is as much his fault as it is everyone else's who taught him he could do no wrong throughout all of his life. I bet prison's taught him a lot.
Like what are you talking about you know? Like he seemed like he was just like trying to be pretty honest like you know for the most part. Like seriously... It's like pretty obvious that he's like pretty sorry and everything you know. Plus, his uncle, D.L., is a total racist, so he's got that going for him... which is nice.
If it weren’t such a serious situation, his decision to say, through tears, “True That”, when the Detective mentions needing your family now more than ever, would be absolutely hilarious.
How does a guy born into generational wealth and being sent to a prestigious school end up talking the way he does? I'm pretty sure I felt my brain cells slowly withering away while listening to him speak.
I don't know if I would call this "going bad" for him. He commited a crime, the consequences are something he can't escape from. Especially if he didn't want to kill her. Might as well just take it head on.
@@Doncornuto As stated in the video. If he lawyered up immediately, didn't say anything and collected what information the police had before giving his story, he could have been charged with a lesser crime or be made not guilty if the prosecutors aimed too high.

Love how he wears a "The police" T-shirt to a murder investigation. 😂😅🤣
