Jay Dobyns is a retired ATF agent who went undercover with the Hells Angels from 2001 to 2003 as part of Operation Black Biscuit. He speaks with BI about his experience with the outlaw motorcycle gang, from weapons to narcotics trafficking. He later served as an instructor at the ATF's National Academy. Dobyns is the recipient of the United States attorney general's Medal of Valor, 12 ATF special-act awards, and the National Association of Police Organizations' top-cops award.
Jimmy Tsui is a former member of Tung On in New York City's Chinatown. He later transitioned into the Sun Yee On triad in Hong Kong, where he became a "426 general" in 1988. Mike Moy says he was a gang member in New York City's Chinatown, having been recruited in the 1970s. He speaks with BI about gambling houses, counterfeit money, bootleg kung fu movies, gunrunning, and credit-card fraud. Moy joined the New York City Police Department as an officer in 1995 and worked there for 26 years. He later founded the CZcams channel Chinatown Gang Stories, where he speaks with former gang members about their lives.

I completely know. Fully well. I was raised around them as my mom's dad did work for them but he wouldn't join them. My mom, uncle and my other cousins and myself and my brother when we got old enough we all seen and went through things nobody ever should. Then I got in a 3 1/2 year relationship with a POS who never joined the HA but he was raised by them and did work for them as he was the most abusive POS and I thank the Lord I got away from him and my family. After my mom died my cousins tried to murder me 4 times and I left and never went back. That was 7 years ago and I have NEVER spoken to them and plan to never ever go back. I've never been happier since uprooting myself from those scum bags and making a new life for myself. And I did. I was homeless for years. Now I'm going to college full time for nursing and business. My cousins are still popping out babies left and right for their mom to raise while they still do drugs, drink and pimp themselves out for the gang. I pray for their kids and my brother who is still stuck at that house in that life.

There is so reason to think they have changed their ways at all. The only difference would be that the members from a long time ago are either old or have died by now and their younger family members taking over are still sharping the edges of the sword. That's all I'm gonna say. There is absolutely zero question on whether or not they are still as bad as they once were.

Him being a pastor who used to be in a gang and lived the life style, has put him ina unique position to reach people who most church leaders csnt reach; because others cant truly say, " i know how it feels", "i know, i have been there."
A lot of people living in a cycle of life cant believe someone that tells them "the Lord can forgive you, if u repent and get baptized", if they havent lived that way before.

The Mamas aren't doing the best job and no they're not doing it all on their own either. Now I'm talking about anybody who gets into criminal activity and not just gangs. That's also remember that there are also females in gangs. Sure the man do need to get out there and show young men how to be better men. There are men that are out there trying to make a difference unfortunately there are not enough because fools that have nothing to do with gangs prop up the lifestyle. That's the biggest problem is others outside of this problem making it cool. Young man listen to gangsta rap in the suburbs and given young criminals who literally kill people money. You know more power and more ego to never stop being part of the gang until they're dead.

    • @SharpForceTrauma

It absolutely is. It's well known that the ATF have been involved in several gunrunning scandals.
Priority One of any organization is to ensure it's own existence. The ATF creates crime so they can continue to "fight" crime, and make alot of money doing so. The FBI keeps databases of all seized child porn and sells and distributes it to the dark web just so they can shut it down later. The DEA sells drugs they confiscate on the streets to wrap up gangs.
That's what your taxes pay for. Government sanctioned drug dealers.

In the show me and my dad watched he was very bragidocious about how deep undercover he thought he was, but a lot of the Hells Angels thought of him as a boy scout trying too hard. A lot of them felt like he was a fed because of how eager he was.

I grew up in Ventura, CA, where George Christie was President of the Hell's Angels. I'm pretty sure he was the longest active President in the club's history. Throughout my childhood, they would "patrol" the streets and the kids and families were quite scared of them. Later on, I got to know several ex-members and friends of prominent members, and also learned more about them when Christie started really telling his story. They were kicked out of town at some point. But it turns out, they actually had unofficial agreements with Law Enforcement to help keep gang activity under control in the city, and even though they were running drugs, etc, they did prioritize the safety of the community and kids,, obviously only to a degree. But as soon as they were gone, the city was overrun with gangs and street violence, drugs flooded the streets, and things got much worse. It wasn't like they were saints, but they did keep their business to themselves for the most part, and definitely contributed to preventing widespread gang activity. A lot of people think George Christie is the ultimate snitch, but he's a pretty cool guy and does stand on principle. Now, the county has the highest number of people on probation per capita in the entire state, the Law Enforcement system is beyond corrupt, the primarily Mexican gangs have spread drugs all throughout places that were never associated with drugs, and homelessness, violence, and crime in general has been out of control.

Growing up in HK as a gweilo kid, triads are so underground and unseen but were cool. Never an issue. They had the monopoly and business wasn't good if bad things happened. I remember one kid at school missing his bus and wandering off in the 90s, the low level triads picked him up and dropped him to the police station. It was around Sha Tin. Parents were freaking out until he was found.
