Silverhound, I just picked up a bag of Ike's from the bank (1,000). That's right 1,000. I have yet to search them and yes I will be spending them, poor examples of course, to see the looks I'll get. Thanks for the video!

The 1976 Eisenhower Dollars contained in the 1975 Mint Set are the Type 1 version. This variety exhibits thicker style lettering on the reverse design. For the twelve coins included in the set with a face value of $3.82, the US Mint charged $6.00. This remained the same price as the prior year.

Hi Blue Ridge, I remember my grandmother giving me and my sister and brother this Bicentennial dollar. In 1976. I took it and put it in a plastic bag and put put away for safekeeping. I just thought it was special that my grandmother gave it to me. I still have it to this day looking at it I don't think it came out of the Roll. Still in good shape although it does have some tarnishing on it. I would never get rid of this coin. Looking at it it's the type-2. Thanks for bringing back good memories. 😊 Thanks for all the great information.

Really? There's still a fair number of silver coins in circulation currently that you can simply get by given the bank the face dollar value on the coin and that's that !? That's really really good to know because my mother is the manager at a local branch of M&T bank and I will be giving her a few bucks tomorrow morning for her to trade in to grab and bring home any proper dated silver halves and wholes as well as a few rolls of quarters hoping to maybe come across a few pre 1964 90% Washington's or even who knows maybe a few newer proofed 90% ATB or Statehood and territories quarters , people buy them in mint sets , take them out of their packaging and eventually accidentally mix them up with pocket change and spend them more often than one would think , lol mother works at the bank , I'm get my ass some silver for literally the face value of each coin , wish me luck

What he failed to mention is that the bicentenial coins which includes quarters, half dollars, and Eisenhower dollars, were minted in 1975 and 1976. Same design. Both say bicentenial with the same date. The only difference is the 1975 bicentenial coins has slightly thinner lettering than the 1976 bicentenials. You will not find an Eisenhower dollar with a 1975 date on it.

Awesome video man!! I recently just picked up couple mint sets at my local coin shop and actually found a Type 1 bicentennial Ike. Now I'm definitely going to send it in for grading. Even has beautiful gold tone around the entire coin

I have 40 Ike dollars coins. I need to review all of them again for what type they are. I’ve been collecting for awhile. It appears I may have some NFC’s. I could be wrong. But they appear to be. Most of the NFC’s are 1970-971. But have many Bi-Centennial too !

What are NFC's? From 1971? I'd really like to know what to look for.
