Bro, I catch a lot of heat saying the Timney was the best striker fire trigger! My comp was pushing carbon back into the striker chamber, causing drag... and light primer strikes. Simple solution, increase the striker spring weight to a heavier 6lb one and polish the internals to neutral the effect of the heavier striker spring. I get a nice louder strike, and visually confirmed the results on the spent casing. Total cost was less than $10. Trigger pull weight is 2.5lbs. Still prefer the 1911 / 2011 triggers, but this is pretty damn close. I also have a pistol that I only changed out the connector to a Ghost 3.0 connector (I actually would not recommend due to bump firing if installed incorrectly) and polished the internals. It pulls around 2.75lbs with a really crisp break and that only cost me $18 for the connector. Throw in an aluminum angled flat faced trigger to reduce take up/reset distance for $40, and you have a poor man's competition trigger. I love the stippling job, and you should do a video on that! Another great video, Bro!
I'm not interested in Glocks. I have a Faxon Hellfire, and that's as close as I will get. The Teran stuff is cool-all movies up-but not worth $7000. If I am going to spend that kind of money, it would be an Infinity, Hayes, or an Erebus. Nicely done, Skip. Informative, as always. Cool stuff.
light strikes in a glock is always the striker spring. its the only thing that has a bearing on hitting the primer. everybody likes to stick ultra light striker springs in them, but you can break every primer on the market, and get a #2 pull without going ultra light with the striker spring.
The ONLY Glocks I like are the 20 and 21. I have large hands they fit my hands very well. Of course I’ve upgraded the triggers to Johnny Glock triggers and changed out the plastic guide rod for the GlockStore tungsten guide rod. They shoot well and I have no issues.
That trigger looks like my stock Canick steel frame but with a little less pre-travel..personally would trust you over Taren's, if only I wasn't one of the poor's. Thanks for all the great content
U should get a m&p 2.0 with the apex tactical trigger and do a comparison to this. I heard the apex trigger on the m&p 2.0 is the best with also being reliable.
I shoot an Atlas in USPSA and IDPA, prior to the Atlas I used two different glock 17's. One stock, and one with a zev custom slide, glock enhanced trigger, and a bunch of other zev custom things. I had so many issues with my custom glock that I always brought my bone stock glock as a back up. Glocks can look very cool but man, they don't like to be customized. This last weekend I shot a USPSA match and a guy squadded with me had a customized glock. Problem after problem. Glocks are great, if you leave them alone.
I used to think the same exact thing bro smh but, after I started tracing where the problems were coming from, I then started correcting them, and now, I'm able to run all of my custom Glocks for 800-1k rounds with ease! Thank TMH!!!
I wonder if legion precision makes a 9mm 4.25 inch model of that savant gun on there website it shows a 10mm in 5 inch I believe and then shows a 4.25 inch savant but it doesn’t say what it is chambered in. Idc for the Chiraq ones they look kinda bad IMO.
Oh ok! So question Scott, is the trigger that you're running a Williams gun works custom trigger, or just a Timney, or JGs trigger that William worked on for you? I went to the site and didn't see any trigger work or triggers for purchase
I bought a Glock over 20 years ago and the ones they make today are the same trash I got back then. This is just my opinion, but I don’t think ANYTHING about a Glock is “perfection” 🤣 the grip angle is way too unnatural for me and the trigger is so heavy it seems like they want people to miss when they’re trying to defend their life and their loved ones. I know they can be customized to no end, but the gun is trash out of the box and it feels like a 2x4 in my hand. I know I’m not alone in thinking that TTI doesn’t make ANYTHING that is worth what they’re charging for it. Get yourself an SGZ custom build and your wallet will thank you for it, plus it will shoot better than the overpriced TTI trash 💯 Sorry if that offends anyone, but it’s true.
What is our 2A community Einstein up to this morning uuummm...Let's see huh, oh upgraded Glocks for those who refuse or may not have $2500 to $7000 for a pistol good job Skip!!! 😎
What’s the cost difference between this build and the actual TTI? I’m assuming about 1/3 as much. I have a Timney in my Glock, but that one looks amazing.
I would love if you just said the name of the slide or put a link, I am struggling to find it haha. Does anybody know what company makes this slide or what its called etc? I really love the look and would like to purchase one.

Nice Glock, for a second there looking at thumbnail I thought it was a Canik TTI combat 🤣

Yeah tried the stronger spring didn’t work but it’s one of the best dam triggers now so I’m letting Williams have his moment
@@SkipsGunz Duh! You're a wizard with guns! I am curious what he did that you didn't already think of. Huh.
I think those timney are hit or miss it’s a shame cause when tuned dam it’s nice

Was weird cause we had an oem one in it
🔥 Excellently done as always.

Ordered a DPM kit and Afterburner/Ramjet last week with intentions of making my G5 17 like this… even more amped! Great video.
Great minds think alike

I had one and it’s probably the best striker out there
That trigger looks awesome. I do love my TTI Combat Master Copperhead XR. You will get in a few days to compare.
My man ❤
Best looking Glock I’ve seen. Nice work!

Why not just get a Shadow Systems XR920P and cerakote the slide?
Because I had this already

Well hold off on that opinion till my up coming video you might change your opinion
I saw glock and tapped out. If I'm going to run striker fired it it will be VP9 or PDP.
It’s a bad lil setup if im honest

He can tune the timney or really any of the kits etc
Just gota get in contact off the site cause he’s working on the website
🔥🔥🔥 build brother. What about the detail on that that finish work though?
What’s wrong with it?
@@SkipsGunzabsolutely nothing, looks awesome. Just wondering about it. Didn’t hear you mention what it is in the video. Or did I just miss it?
I have the 45 with that setup but my Zev Version is a better shooter I guess due to the extra weight of the gun.
I gota cook zev setup coming in an upcoming video

A nice redone prodigy and I’m happy 😃

Thanks for the shoutout bro 😘

They don’t make it any more.

I got it off eBay actually i don’t know the brand off hand definitely really nice though
I’m lost, what are the 4 letters? 😂 I’m interested in this slide.
eBay
@@SkipsGunz could you send the link?
Nice, but i would have went with the glock performance trigger with vex shoe from JG... Timney sucks..
Ahhh BACKWARDS HAT AND TATTOOS! 😳 beware
That’s right I’m a grifter
