- Here's a short little video to help with a common problem I am having with building the AMT 1925 Ford Model T frames.
The multi-piece construction of these frames can lead to some issues with the geometry involved in aligning the semi-eliptical springs to the rectangular frame rails.
Hopefully this suggestion to alter the prescribed building method will help you to align your Model T plastic model kit so that all 4 wheels will touch the ground. - Auta a dopravní prostředky
Good idea,Trevor 👍😎worth a try👍🤓
Absolutely. I will be trying it over the next few days.
Thanks for the tip 👍
You are welcome. I hope it works out for you and me.
I,ll have to try this on my next old car build.
I hope it all works out for you!
The old buggy spring can be a pain to get straight Trevor
For sure...and I have 6 of these kits!
With that many,I'd make a jig that holds them at 90% to the chassis🤔. I might dig out the old C-cab,I've got and invent one 🤣🤣
@@petesmodelcarcustoms584 I did wedge in some wood match sticks or shims or something on either side of the spring to balance it out while gluing the model suspension upside-down, but in the end, some of the Model T's had the "lifted Dog Leg" effect happening.
