Musk loves the first amendment. Freedom of speech is so important to him. I've heard he is especially a big fan of freedom of assembly for his workers to unionize. Not like he has been found guilty of breaking anti-union laws in the past at all.
A lot of unions are shitty though lol
??? the phrase Breaking anti-union laws makes no sense
He said his workers wouldn't unionize because unionizing just takes away benefits of being a Tesla employee, his own workers litteraly don't wanna unionize and elon musk has litteraly told big unions to try and unionize his employees. Unions are ass if your doing any job where they treat you with an ounce of humanity😂
@@gamewars5353 Tesla treats employees with an ounce of humanity as shown by them losing a lawsuit for being racist again black employees.
@@gamewars5353 >unionizing just takes away benefits of being a tesla employee
Yes so the only reason people don't want to unionize is because he will take away their stock options. A threat which a judge has already ruled as an illegal action against employees' rights to organize.
Shockingly Elon musk himself telling you his workers don't want to unionize is a garbage source.
For all the jokes you crack about your degree, I find that this is some of the most easily digestible "news" that I can find with the biases clearly displayed, a light amount of humor, and a deep awareness of what is important in conveying an important situation to viewers. I sort of wish that there were more sources of news in this format. Thanks for being my daily dose of the internet and always making me smile and laugh!
My personal hypothesis is he's basically doing the world's biggest pump and dump scheme by getting the stock price up through his announcement and then gradually selling his shares. He literally already gave himself an out by saying that if twitter doesn't accept his offer he will have to reconsider his position in the company. He does have a history of pump and dumps, after all. But time will tell
He could dump it as a back up plan which would make his buying of the stock fairly sane.
Why should he take the risk of illegally influencing the stock market and maybe even loosing the trust of his investors, when he can pump&dump all night in the cryptoworld.. like back then whe I had my doge before it was cool.. I suddenly startet floating, I looked down and there he was, Elon carrying me on his shoulders.
.. just to BASH Me into the Ground! Surprise Touchdown
Guess this is wrong lol
Sure, but I dont think hed go threw all this effort if his plan was just a simple pump and dump scheme. Maybe as a back up plan because I don't think he cares enough to keep 10% of twitter for no reason, but to me it doesn't make sense for a guy as rich as elon to risk his public image for money which he doesn't need. Though I guess maybe he's not thinking straight or is just desperate enough for money that his public image doesn't matter.

I thought Elon was okay until the incident where the soccer team got stuck in a flooded cave in Thailand I think it was. They asked Elon for help, so he created the pod as a back up plan. He didn't call the diver a pedo, he called the cave explorer a pedo. To put it another way, say we have a stake in Mogul Mail, which has 100 shares. My share is 30, yours is 30, and Ludwig has a 40 share stake. Elon Musk comes to buy Mogul Mail. The price of each share is 1 dollar, but he says he will pay 1.20. Now say Mogul Mail isn't ran by any of us, and it's ran by some random party like Atrioc. Atrioc says, if you try to buy Mogul Mail, everytime you buy 1 share over 15 shares, I will create another share, and sell it for 50 cents.
That means that if he buys 20 of my shares, there are now 105 shares. You still have 25 shares. The total value of Mogul Mail was 100 dollars. Adding more shares doesn't change this. It just means your 25 shares are worth less, and Atrioc doesn't even have a personal stake in it because he doesn't own any.
That is what is happening with Twitter. The board are not heroes. They get paid something like 30 million dollars a year to be on the board and have less than a 5% stake in Twitter collectively. They have, quite literally, no vested interest in making Twitter a good platform. It's more important to them that Elon Musk doesn't fire them, and they are willing to throw all the investors under the bus to do it.
And that is who we are defending today. A group of rich dudes who are afraid another rich dude might want to make the company any different, which would hurt their free money machine printer. Elon Musk also had plans to take the company private so when if he enacted free speech mechanisms, the free market couldn't dictate something, for example profit, was more important than the vision.
The current Twitter board doesn't care about this at all and really has no skin in the game either way, and it's the biggest blight on the platform.
*edit*
I would further say this is one of the huge dangers around the current "billionaires shouldn't exist" talk. If peoples wealth aren't tied to the corporations that they run, and are simply them getting paychecks, there is very little reason and incentive for them to do well and put the needs of the company first. The open market is the force that tries to fairly evaluate a company. If your shares are traded on the open market, the only real way you can effectively manipulate your stock price, is by making your company better. That is how you get your money. When you lose that relationship, what actual reason do you have for making your company better? Your wealth isn't directly tied to the success of the company. You can just let the company do worse, pay yourself a higher paycheck and there won't even be major investors to chastise you for this because they quite literally cannot exist.
Damn Lud Chadded up on this Mogul Mail
Damn that didnt age well
also, he isnt the founder of tesla. he gave himself that title after taking over trhe company from the founders.
love the confidence, but you can literally google, "founders of tesla," and he's one of the five on the list.
Sheesh what a dumbo
I like how people take non-issues and make it into issues
He founded what Tesla has become today, by which he can be called a founder
The actual “founder” Martin Eberhard, didn’t even do jack during his time there
@@jakobtheamerican917 because he gave himself the title. Its really insidious.
@@jakobtheamerican917 look up debunking elon musk by common sense skeptic. I think this is the video that talks about it.
Happy birthday Ludwig
Love how honest you come across, would love to see drunk lud at a bar bet you’re funny guy
The Tom Brady jokes will never get old
Gotta update the title
ludwig is done with elon musk!
“The richest man in the world has a lot of money”
Ludwig, man I'm glad that you support subways and trains instead of underground car pipes
I don’t think there will ever be a form of twitter that makes everybody happy. Free speech and getting offended go hand in hand, one cannot survive without the other. Like Batman and the joker lmao
You can tell Ludwig watched a few AdamSomething videos with his take on elons dumb ass tunnels, and his newfound love of trains
loving these more raw lud vids
That last cartoon showing to prove your point gave me big English teacher vibes.
Well this vid aged like poor milk within 2 days "tried" did ez clap
When i read his proposal to buy twitter, and he said something about him making it better for free speech, i immediatly thought:" hm, maybe a privately owned company by a billionaire isn't the greatest thing for free speech"
Twitter is already controlled by billionaires but you don’t care about them apparently
@@ThatWorkx correct, as i am a Ludwig viewer my mind is incapable of processing anything beyond what Ludwig has just talked about.
Well, it's official 👀
you are one of the most entertaining speakers of all time for some odd reason.. for some reason whenever you post on mogul, I watch your videos.. and I have barely watched any of your streams and any of your official ludwig videos.. This is like the weekly slap but ludwig version.
I agree, Lud, I Like TRAINS!
what
@@irayena I like TRAINS
@@WillHellmm I see. I believe submarines are better personally, but you do you.
Here after the actual sale. This is an interesting perspective on this. I won't say that I agree with everything you said, but it's definitely food for thought. I definitely hope that Elon makes Twitter better.
As an aside, I really like the videos on this channel, more than I do on the main channel. Your analysis is always interesting. Keep up the good work!
Ending with a Calvin & Hobbes comic, nice.
bro calvin and hobbes was not something I was expecting this video. That's a classic right there
I agree with most of this apart from Elon improving Twitter. Misinformation, bots, spam, etc are really complex problems and ideas like "free speech for all" or "verify every account" are naive at best
Is free speech not a right of everyone in the United States? Twitter is the defacto "town square" in the internet age. It's not just some private tech company at this point
So a billionaire with a lot of power is advocating for free speech but also kinda doesnt believe in free speech if something negative about him or his work is said. Great thought to have.
Anyways i believe that the twitter situation is the least important of what was said in the video. Thanks lud for doing the research and bringing some thing to light for us.
