Thanks to your tutorials, amazing attitude and ability to explain and teach, now I am not scared of it and able to do some simple stuff. I will continue to practice with your lessons. The first hole MS 1 -100%, a single point can make a hole. For circles with points that are multiples of 4 or more, your method is very useful. For the ellipse, I use a disc, then UD-MB, and then tangent capture.

And again you do something that even with years of C4D I didn't know. Place the bend off the plane. Because being inside as used, the subdivision causes a distortion. The way you put the hierarchy, the distortion does not occur. Thank you!

Coming from a background in Blender I wonder why C4D doesn’t have a tool like the one in Blender called Shape Tools. You can literally take any edge loops and regardless of how many vertices it has it will form the verts into a circle. Just right-click, Shape Tools, Circle (there are other options as well). Regardless, I’m learning so much from you now as I learn C4D!

To me it kinda looks like you're creating unlimited holes on a flat surface and then bending it, but if it works then it's a perfectly valid and great technique

No it works with every surface type, and it doesn't have to be a cylinder, you can adjust the curve with the bend deformer .

well, I don't know , I should try that but it should also work for complx shapes as well, as long as you don't break the polygon distributions, I mean there should be even sized polygons as much as possible
