If anyones doing this after the symmetry update and got stuck extruding at 5:49 make sure in the object tab of each symmetry generator the "Weld" setting is set to "Crosses Plane" or "On". The layout has changed but that's probably what "clamping issues" he's talking about at 4:12.
I just tried it on. On R21 you get 3 problems with the cloth surface: 1. You get some overlapping geometry at the angles 2. You get weird shading issues of the reflections 3. The sub-D modifier is not working properly and is not creating a smooth circle ( the opening at the top) Maybe it's different in other versions. But in R21 I didn't find it useful.
I just tried it with a few different glass objects and I must say I find it much more realistic when the liquid is scaled inside. The separation between glass and liquid is much more clearer separated. If the faces overlap in some cases the liquid is just "there" in the glass without any "wall" like it would be in a real object. But might depend on the situation and model. In my case that didn't work out for the better. But thanks anyway for trying to help!!
Hm.. I just read some articles on the internet about that. It should be the right way how you said and the Liquid should overlap the glass. I think I will just try out in the next projects what works and looks better.
Hi! the render looks amazing, but I have a simple question, the object size is about 300*400*200cm, wouldn't be better to modelate it with real life size proportions?
AT 9:50 you noticed that some problems and you arranged the vertices manually. Why is it important to adjust the vertices properly? Will it create problem for the render?
It is important to have all points exactly aligned on the X and Z axis in this example so the Symmetry function/object can work properly. It is only working (in older Cinema4D versions) if all points are exactly aligned on the axis. That's why I adjusted them. Otherwise The symmetry object would not work properly and make some issues.
Have seen your renderings on Facebook and think that's so nice that you are sharing your workflow. Keep it up man! 🔥
Oh yeah, it makes a lot of fun to share knowledge and help other people.
Especially when they appreciate it like you!
Another banger tutorial! Cant wait to see the lightning part :D
Thank you! Yeah it will come early next week. Have a nice Sunday!
Great tutorial!! Thanks!!
man, that was an efficient workflow. Simple and easy
yes exactly. Nothing complicated about it. Simple, fast and very effective to get good results.
Thanks for your comment!
Amazing!
Mate so professional and so clean tutorial. ❤️
Thanks! I appreciate your appreciation for the quality of the tutorial!✌🏼
Love it, thank you ❤️❤️
I appreciate it!
i appreciate you so much for this! thank you. Doing all that while looking like an absolute chad aswell
I really had to smile about that comment. Thanks man ✌🏼
Amazing

Thanks for letting us know!
Thx man 🙏🏼 subscribed!
Thanks soo appreciate!
very nice please share more and more this kind of tutorials I learned something new commands. Thanks a lot.
Thank you. I am glad you enjoyed this tutorial
Great 👍
I appreciate :)
Great tutorial. For giving thickness would a Cloth Surface work the same way or is it better to just model it yourself?

@@nikita.kapustin Ah I thought so, thanks for trying it out and getting back! Keep up the great work, been seeing your work in some facebook groups!
Thank you for connecting here and checking out the videos!:)
thank youuu
You're welcome!
Instead of the disc method for creating a circle I find it easier to just use Fit Circle after selecting middle polys
Oh yes absolutely! If you are using the new versions of Cinema4D it is of course much easier with the fit circle command.
How did you extrude inner like that? at 8:30
А как сделать, чтобы крышка закрывалась?
Also on 20:45, its better in rendering to let the liquid overlap the glass for better results. Try it :)
so basically just scale it a bit up rather then down ^^

"The render looks amazing"
Please can.i have your render module ( octane)
Why when I try inner extrude at 7:26, it always extrudes the 4 sides ?
Please explain how you extruded from the inner edge.
I'm also stuck at the same part and didn't find a solution 😞
Same here =(( Did u find out the method to fix this?

Никита Капустин?) Я сначала подумал это Илья Капустин. Вы случаем не братья?)) Он тоже уроки делает по 3д
Круто) нет, не знаю его
