In episode 4 of her program Total Recall, Anna Nemzer tackles the topic of the murder of one of the main Russian journalists, Anna Politkovskaya. She was especially inconvenient for Putin and the leader of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov as she not only wrote truthfully about the Second Chechen War but saw it with her own eyes - she always insisted on only reporting on things she personally witnessed. Anna Nemzer explains how this murder not only began the tradition of eliminating political rivals and independent journalists in modern Russia, but how Vladimir Putin's reactionary rhetoric seems to play a vicious game with the audience: claiming that it wasn't expedient for the government to kill Politkovskaya, Nemtsov, or Navalny.

This is so much important for us in the West to remind us all what the Putin's wrongdoings😡 were during the time he was still somehow accepted by the West - mainly Germany and France!!!
