THANK you for helping me untangle the "essence vs. state of being" conundrums by using permanent and temporary instead--so much simpler. I'm sure the classic meaning covers subtle things your simpler one doesn't. As an English teacher I get that Spanish teachers want the "correct" differentiation, but as a enrapt pupil of the beautiful, very complicated espanol I often get mind blocked by essence vs state of being. Isn't state of being often essence etc? How is your location state of being and not your personality? How you respond socially seems like state of being. . . AAAIIIIEEEE. Again thanks for how you simplify and understand that it's simpler, also comprehending the frustrating, wonderful shades of grey in what things mean.
Sííí! Tu haces más, woo hoo. Muchas Gracias! Tuvieren el mejor 👏🏻
I've never understood why people teach ser vs estar the way that it's taught because it's a confusing concept for an English speaker. The way I decide which to use when forming sentences to talk to customers is if I'm using a verb I use estar.
Thank you❤️ I've been binging all of your videos😂 much love from guyana
So glad to your making more videos for us gringos hope you are doing well. Como pasaste tus vacaciones de COVID?
I like these
when they translate "human rights mission" ofen uses "mission de ayuda humanitaria" because they want to say "we came here to protect/help people" (non lucrative/political mission), but if they uses "mision de derechos humanos" is wolud be as "we came here to protect your human rights" (in a political way)
I still find it weird that you say someone is dead "está muerto", like death isn't permanent. That, and why time (which is the most temporal thing by its nature) is expressed with ser (son las ocho). Weird.
Please i will be thankful of you i wanted to know one thing se la/lo means it to him/her. Last night i saw a movie where some robber stole something and in subtitles the translated words wore - - se la habrán robado which means they will have stolen it. Why it wasn't they will have stolen it from her/him please tell me i am dying to know this
