    If the sexes were reversed it would be "perverse, appealing to the male gaze, toxic masculinity, objectification, and patriarchy"

    Taika Waititi's ego seems to be out of control. He injected himself all up in this movie, he's having a throuple with his girlfriend and one of his actresses, and he obviously thinks he's better than the source material. Between his "ruin your mythos in a second" comment and him asking Natalie freaking Portman to be in his potential Star Wars movies because he had no idea she was a main character in the prequels, you can tell he doesn't give a damn about source material and just plans on doing his one trick with the whatever property.

    Wanda’s grief was treated as a serious thing that it made her sympathetic and somehow justified all of her actions after this.

      @@nont18411 In the comics Scarlet Witch does the same thing. People hated the comic but it's still faithful to the source material as far as Wanda's character arc goes. In the comics it was even worse, they had to erase Scarlet Witch's memories of her kids completely and when Wasp accidentally mentions them Wanda freaks out and attacks the Avengers killing Vision.

    Waititi is a massive narcissist. He was given free reign by Feige to do his own thing and his own thing is to basically have a good time one set, and it results in a joke of a film. Hes also one if those "too cool for school" people who thinks "look, isn't this superhero concept just ridiculous?" When you have people treating the films like they are silly little comic stories for nerds then you are one step away from the sort of jock vs nerd bullying many of us had to put up with in the 80s and 90s.

      No director is given free reign in the MCU. Sam Raimi, who is essentially a self-made success, claimed that the studio interfered with his vision to the extent that he claimed the Doctor Strange film wasn't even his own.

      I'm inclined to agree. He did a great job in JoJo Rabbit so I was a bit dismissive about people's criticisms but after following the marketing of this film up to watching it in the theaters, he does seem to be quite narcissistic. He openly said he loves trolling the fans and I quote "You don’t know what you wanted until I give it to you. I know, I know, it’s rude, it’s rude. But it’s true.”

      I so agree. I loved Infinity War but can't even watch it again with what they did to Thor in Endgame (and how overall terrible the movie was). MCU has really dropped the ball with Thor. He is now simply comic relief. I have no desire to see him in a rom/com. Hard pass.

    I've been saying since the first trailer came out Thor was going to be a blubbering fool throughout the entire film with his diverse companions constantly rolling their eyes at him and saving his butt. They did the same thing in Lightyear, The Last Jedi and countless other films. The last few years will be known as the period when Hollywood destroyed all our favorite and most beloved heroes.

    I'm kinda tired of giving these films and shows the benefit of the doubt. When Korg made a joke right after Asgard was destroyed by Ragnarok, people thought "ok, that was inappropriate, but I'll let it go" and when Valkyrie's slave trader past was laughed off in Ragnarok it was the same. We assumed it was the couple of missteps along the road, but in reality it was a taster of how things were going to proceed.

    Marvel has desecrated both Hulk and Thor’s character arcs from the comics.
    Avengers was the last time Hulk or Thor were treated with the respect they deserved as characters.

      Thor was excellent in Infinity War. He still made a couple jokes, but for the most part, he was a man on a mission after losing Loki, Heimdall, and the rest of his people. Obviously, that brooding, vengeful Thor can't be used forever, but he felt like a force in that film. Then Endgame made him a fat mess.

    The term you're looking for is "Bathos" it's when you set up an emotional moment and then cut the legs from under it with a joke.
    Joss Whedon was probably the worst offender of this trope but it's spread everywhere over the last two decades. It's useful for surprise value when used sparingly and nothing else.
    It often happens when the writer doesn't have confidence in their writing.

      It's just another way for post modernists (globalists) to deconstruct and mock everything that holds meaning and virtue. It's also why nihilism has infected everything lately, especially since Game of Thrones. It's being done intentionally to rob us of our beloved stories and heroes. Everything we love is being corrupted, perverted, and destroyed. If we have no heroes, we have no one to look up to, examples of how to act. If we have no good stories, we don't learn the valuable lessons they teach. It's another vector globalists use to weaken populations, making us easier to control.

      Thank-you. I had never heard of that term, but it's exactly what I needed.
      From wikipedia: "Today, bathos refers to rhetorical anticlimax-an abrupt transition from a lofty style or grand topic to a common or vulgar one-occurring either accidentally (through artistic ineptitude) or intentionally (for comic effect)."
      That's exactly what I hate about so many movies right now, especially superhero movies. Ruining drama with ineptitude (Batman v Superman; The Last Jedi), or with jokes (Thor: Ragnarok; Jojo Rabbit). Not every character needs to be a witty quip machine, and not every superhero movie needs bad jokes to kill the drama, like the writers are embarrassed to be writing a superhero movie.

    J. R. R. Tolkien hated allegory in stories. He didn't believe in hidden messages, and wrote accordingly. A reader can project a hidden message into his works, but that doesn't mean that allegory or any other are in his works.

      @@rockinHurley777 the only time Thor works with any kind of humor is unintended humor or him being a straight man, similar to how Captain America was handled.
      The electrocution/taser thing with Thor only worked in the first movie, but it got old immediately afterwards. The hurr durr I'm a moron doesn't work at all. The times he was done well is when he acted from a position of authority casting a perspective that was unique to him. Same with Captain America, which contrasted the loose spontaneousness of the guardians, self absorbed approach of Tony, evasive nature of Natasha, direct approach with Clint, broader perspective of Strange/Vision, modern sensibilities with Rhoades/Sam.
      The Hemsworth from Ghostbusters as Thor is just cringe.

    The first Thor movie is still the best. Gets the character and the tone right, as Thor in Marvel is a mix of Norse myth, King Arthur legend and Shakespearian drama and dialouge. Having Kenneth Branaugh as director was a stroke of genius!

    Why did Waititi choose Korg as his self insert? In the Planet-Hulk- and World-War-Hulk-storyline in the comics Korg is an actually good character and he is completely different from the movie-version.
    Waititi couldn't even make his own character. He just took the name and appearance of a comic-book character and completely ruined him.

    The first two Thor movies, as well as the first Avengers and Ultron, were the only times we really see Thor as a capable, serious person.
    Such a shame that Disney is trying to ruin male heroes. Because, heaven forbid we actually have competent dudes in movies. Wouldn't want to get accused of toxic masculinity by snowflakes in today's society.

      @Yes If you read the comment he actually compared Thor at the start to what he has become. What does that have to do with DC? There is a time and place for everything. How can you make a character who we have watch grow in his character, has lost everything, who figured out a way around Ragnarok, suffer from mental illness comic relief and make him act like a dummy? Look what they did to Drax the destroyer? All that guy does now is eat and tell stupid jokes. DC actually made that mistake with Joss Whedon JL.

      @Yes We can agree to disagree which is cool. I dont think his character is better. I actually think both Marvel and DC have strengths and weakness. Humor has to be balanced. Joker was serious but successful so was The Dark Knight, The Batman. WW1 was balanced. Shazam was balanced aswell. Winter Solider is mt favourite MCU film. Lord of the Rings is fantastic that was serious.

Eternity is just the Universe personified in humanoid form not some discount Shenron from Dragon Ball. It's his younger sister, Mistress Death who controls controls the dead.

    I was honestly pretty upset when they announced Gorr for this movie because he's one of the most influential villains in Thor, to the point where the sentence 'Gorr was right' made Thor so insecure he because unworthy for a while, and I knew this movie was gonna suck.
    Okay, I stand corrected, he's not as popular as I thought. I guess it's more accurate to say Gorr was one of my personal favourite villains

      Well actually, Nick Fury was talking to the hammer. They made it sentient at some point, which was pretty stupid and unnecessary. Also, Gorr was wrong. There was a one-shot released of Thor going around helping people even when he isn't superheroing. The hammer was there while he was helping others, so it still doesn't make sense why the hammer would think Gorr was right.

      No he wasn’t. All of Jason Aaron’s contributions to the character were complete and utter trash. “Gorr was right” was legitimately one of the worst moments in Thor’s history.
      Don’t treat the Arron (or Cates) era of Thor as though it is sacrosanct. It isn’t, it was a terrible, degrading, uncharacteristic period of the character.

    Thor is a savior god who has been fighting Giants, Dragons, and gods since his birth. He is The Bezerker.
    He would not have trauma from his battle with Thanos.
    He would not have abandoned his people, he would not need to “find” himself.

      While I agree that he is devalued a lot in this adaptation, I still believe that a Thor struggling after Ifinity War and Thanos would have been very feasible. He would not be like he was in Endgame though, they immediately messed that up. Thor, even after all he had done, was not capable enough to stop half of the universe's population from dying. That would leave a mark on him, and exploring this part of the character should have been the goal for this movie! No 'finding himself' cop-out, but a chance for Thor to reaffirm what he was supposed to be all along.

      Thank you. Thor did not need to find himself. It was established in the first movie who Thor was and was reaffirmed in Ragnarok by his father. The last we saw the real Thor was in Infinity War, minimal jokes, on a mission to stop Thanos no matter the cost. Then they destroyed all that epicness and leadership in Endgame by giving him human characteristics and emotions with PTSD and depression as if he still doesn't have half a kingdom to rule over. Then he gets bad advice from his mother which leads him to forsake his throne and give it to someone who has no power or experience to lead a people so he can go find himself, yet when he goes with the Guardians, there's this question of whose in charge, him or Starlord? I wasn't a fan of Ragnarok because of how much of joke they made Thor out to be so I knew they would continue the same nonsense with this movie.

    Thor used to be my favorite mcu character. Then he became a fat joke. It’s pretty clear marvel never cared about him, which bugs the heck out of me. I loved all 3 Thor movies despite their flaws, and I loved the bridge scene in ragnorok. I’m not even going to watch this movie

    This is another Phase IV Marvel movie that I’ll wait until it comes on Netflix or Cable and if it’s only on Disney+ then I guess I’ll never see it.

    Does all stories have Allegories?
    I do not think so, but at the same time i can't say that with confidence..., let me elaborate:
    Not all stories are intentionally created, if a person recalls a story that happened in any day of their lives i'd think it would be hard to say it was allegorical because most likely, the person telling that story had no full control of what was happening to them, therefore, it would be difficult to believe they intended or intentionally created that story as an allegory.
    That said, i do believe any story could be INTERPRETATED as an allegory, but that would be more so on the eyes of the beholder than something inherent to said story.
    So since NOT all stories are intentionally created, i do not think it's possible that all stories have allegories, you can ascribe meanings and allegories to any story, but that won't be something the story has, it would be something that you interpretated and placed there yourself.
    As another example, if you watch the news and see the recounts and reports of stories that happened with other people who had no full control of how things happened to them, i don't believe those have allegories, but i do believe you could interpretate and infer any message/allegory/ symbolism that you like.
    Also, as for "All story has an allegory, otherwise there is no point for the story... ", but couldn't a story exist just to enterain? If i excitedly tell you about a match in game, wouldn't that be qualified as a story? and would that necessarily have an allegory?
    Well those are my thoughts on the matter, very fun video by the way!

      I think Allegory is like that sailboard joke from mallrats, where they have a picture of dots that if you squint you can see a sailboat. I think it turned out that the painting was on backwards or upsidedown, so all the people that were seeing a sailboat were either lying because they wanted to belong or were willing their minds to see a sailboat that didn't exist. Allegory is the same way, there are times when there might be an allegory, but there are times when a person is so focused on wanting to see a sailboat that they conjure one into existing.

    The wish thing contradicts even older movies. Thanos wanted the infinity stones to curb the population of the universe to prevent suffering and the destruction of said universe because the resources would be depleted. If he just used the wish thing he could have wished for infinite resources thus saving the universe. Gosh these writers are stupid.

      But the key was not made until the ragnorok movie. Unless it was the bifrost itself. Zeus said he does not have the key did anyone know what the key was. Gor figured it out or was it the Necro Sword who was the brains behind that. If the wish was an old legend Thanks may have known about but thought it would be easier to find the stones then figure out what the key was. Even if you double the resources they still will eventually run out.

    I believe it's in the very first Thor movie where they even say "what you call magic, is technology to us", entirely debunking the concept of magic.
    Even more so, Dr.Strange also does it, his "magic" actually is applied Quantum Physics and so on.
    A wish sounds like the purest form of magic, entirely invalidating the entire "it's not magic, it's advanced technology" argument...

    I just feel spent with Marvel in general.
    I feel like they are wanting to use beloved characters to leverage less known characters so they can make movies about these last ones.
    Wich feels like the opposite of how they carved their path towards endgame, they took a bit more time to estabilish most of the avengers and THEN they reached a highpoint most people where interested about.

      I feel like the movie played with the idea of a classic tragedy pretty well (the idea of not being able to escape destiny, that Asgard would be destroyed).

    I don't remember if it was on EFAP or Friday Night Tights, but I heard a great reason for why so many people liked all this Disney, Marvel and Star Wars slop. Many viewers watch these things while being busy on their phones and then looking up at the flashing lights. Focusing only on the "high" parts of the shows/movies and then ignore and forget the remaining 95%.

      He's considerably worse for two very important reasons. The first being that Jar Jar, for all the misguided attempts at creating a goofy clown character for kids is pivotal to the plot of The Phantom Menace and serves as lynch pin to Palpatine's plan in Attack of the Clones. By contrast nothing chances save for fewer annoyances if Korg is not in Love and Thunder or Ragnorok. Secondly and this is even more important, Jar Jar is an annoying character that was written to be annoying and comedic and given to an actor to play a comedic role, whereas Korg is a character with a backstory and tradition that Waititi ignored entirely and cast himself in to stroke his ego and clown on his own movies. Korg is many magnitudes worse than Jar Jar.

    What you’re seeing is a lack of talent. Believe it or not I don’t think it’s in the acting department it’s everything else. Actors are basically just tools welded by others so they aren’t really that important. Writers today are indoctrinated not taught the importance of comedic timing and character building. Producers don’t understand when to leave something alone or tweak it appropriately. Directors don’t now when to tell the company to shove it. Editors don’t understand filming, lighting, and framing. That’s why when you look at classic writers, directors, editors and producers you should be in awe. It takes true talent to do those jobs and what is around today is just corporate talentless trash.

      @@jrfour2408 i agree with you for the most part BUT one big problem being, no matter how hard an Actor tries and gives his own input and opinion and efforts to do that etc. etc, its ultimatly not up to them most of the time if those things are even recorded/allowed to be done (and they often cant flat out refuse to do their job the way they are told to) or dont get cut out of the movie. So if those aspects are handled badly all the Actors Efforts ammounts to nothing in the final movie, no matter how good they are.

    Ragnarok was a bit of a joke, but to me it also captured lightning in a bottle as a beautiful celebration of 70s-80s comic style cheese. But that kind of thing only works well once, especially since it stood out as unique because of it. It's timing is also important because that was a big bright happy movie before we got the Snap, and things got (relatively) serious.

    They lost me in ragnarok honestly, everything was a joke in that movie and it downplayed how serious it should have been at important times, plus the plot of Thor having those powers all along and blah blah, kind of undercut the worthiness thing. The hammer has the power, not Thor. He is powerful on his own, but the lighting comes from the hammer, it bugged me.

    You guys should watch Avengers: Earths Mightiest Heroes. This was one of the best marvel shows of all time. It's funny, smart, treats the characters with respect and, most importantly, is comic accurate. It is way better than the MCU especially what it does with Ultron, Kang, Hulk, Hawkeye, Black Widow, Ant man, Wasp, Vision and even Ms. Marvel.

      Totally agree. I was never really a big Thor fan but I absolutely loved his character in that show. Thise moments when all hope seems lost and their secret weapon, Thor, turns up and wipes the floor with everyone! Also handles all the other non-MCU (at the time) really well and gives them all a time to shine. I'd say it is the Avengers equivalent of 90s X-Men/Spider-Man/Batman cartoons...it is the definitive presentation.

      Thor: "Have you no honor?"
      Crowbar with a smug smile: "Not even a little"
      Thor: "Then you should be familiar with an attack from behind" and then thor calls mjolnir from behind crowbar knocking him out.

      @310165 310165 Ultron is my favorite villain from the show. I love how there was an army of Ultron bots, built by Hank Pym to basically be peaceful automated prison guards for supervillains.
      Then when Kang showed up, the avengers were overwhelmed and needed an army against him so they gave the Ultrons the ability to fight. All but one Ultron were destroyed.
      That one Ultron that survived, however, was able to interface with kang's AI computer and gained sentience itself.
      Now a mad combination of a violent robot programmed to bring peace, Hank Pym's broken mind, and Kang's AI, Ultron set out to upgrade himself and destroy the human race because they are too violent.
      Unlike the MCU Ultron he isn't spiteful or jokey or emotional he's just doing what he thinks needs to be done which makes him terrifying.
      Also unlike the MCU Ultron is he keeps coming back because he is always outwitting the avengers.

    Honestly, I kinda expected this with all the overly comedic tones the trailer has shown me. My expectations were low from the very start but I just opted to not watch it altogether. I know it's probably meant to be a more fun ride but I just don't want to have every emotional moment be interrupted with jokes and whatnot. It really devalues the moment.

      @@TrueMentorGuidingMoonlight Well if you have an unlimited amount of wishes that shall be fulfilled you can even become a god or whatever else you wish to - you can even change it an unlimited times. However being a God can mean a lot of things: for example the ancient Egyptians considered their Pharaohs gods. The same goes to Japan up till World War II. - they considered their Emperor a god. Even tho we know in both cases they were just regular humans as we are. So a tricky "genie" might trick you the same way when you ask to become a god. It makes you an ancient Egyptian pharaoh - technically a god, yet in the reality just a normal human being. :D
      - Also in several religions Gods are not allmighty and not even immortal. See the ancient Greek and Roman gods. They were more of a "superhuman" with special skills than what we'd consider an allmighty, all knowing God nowadays.

    Fate intervened, however, and instead of that we ended up going to see Top Gun: Maverick instead, only because my brother got off work earlier. Good God, it's magnificent.

    The darn reason Thor was funny wasn't because he was dumb or incompetent, though it could seem that way, it was because he was a 1500 year old God interacting with us and it didn't match up.
    Movies where a foreigner comes to a new place and the interactions are backwards, awkward and funny because of it...just amped up to God level SMH

    I was never a die-hard Marvel fan, but I really miss the more serious tones of Marvel movies from back in the day. In these newer movies, they overly inject humor into them and it just doesn’t fit. The dry, sarcastic humor in the Iron Man movies was absolutely perfect and I believe that is why the Iron Man films quickly became my favorite. (Oh, Guardians of the Galaxy series had perfectly executed humor too - another favorite!) But even then, the humor aspect didn’t overpower the seriousness/intensity of the storyline. After the newest Spider Man movies came out I was done. They’re a joke to me. Couldn’t take the storyline seriously. Not bothering with anymore Marvels.

      I think it’s the other way around, respectfully. It also depends on what one might define as a god? Christianity/Judaism has always claimed that the god in the narrative is beyond space and time, which would make it eternal. You could posit some “time” period prior, but it’s not well supported. The idea of a god being eternal may actually be due to the popularization of Christianity. I would find difficult to defend worshiping a group of flawed beings, rather than a singular perfect one. That one would be “worthy” of worship due to its perfect nature. It’s difficult for us to fully understand what that perfect being might be like, but not impossible for us to apprehend that such a being might exist. That make sense?

    Ohhhhhhhh come on. They butchered the god butcher and ETERNITY too!?
    Gorr, for those of you who don't know, is a pretty damn cool villain. He lived on the edge of starvation his entire life, and everyone he loved kept dying because his planet sucked and didn't have much in general. His parents died, his wife and unborn child died, then his BORN children died one by one around him. All this time, through his life, his people are like "pray to the gods. Trust in them and they'll help you."
    And then after all his family is dead, he's like "There's NO gods" and his village kicks him out for saying that.
    Then as he's wandering, TWO GODS CRASH DOWN WHILE FIGHTING! So he's like "holy shit, there ARE gods!"
    Then Knull, the god that created the symbiotes actually, asks for his help, cause he's getting his ass beat. Then Gorr goes ".... WHERE THE HELL WERE YOU?"
    Takes his super amazing sword and butchers his first god. From then on Gorr dedicates himself to killing ALL gods, and in 3000 years he kills a LOT of them. So yeah, that's a PRETTY COOL origin for a pretty damn cool villain. HIS SWORD IS NOT JUST EVIL AND IT MAKES HIM EVIL SO IT'S NOT HIS BLOODY FAULT!
    Now, onto Eternity. In the Marvel Multiverse, there are many cosmic beings. Galactus is one of them. There are others, like Eternity and Infinity. Eternity is the embodiment of the universe, and ultimately is the embodiment of the entire multiverse. He is, MOSTLY a Doctor Strange character. Eternity did some stuff, realized "Oh, this isn't good" and asks Doctor Strange, you know THE SORCERER SUPREME, to go retrieve the fragments of himself that decided not to come back and threaten the multiverse by existing.
    What Eternity isn't, IS JUST SOME WISH GRANTING GENIE LIVING AT THE CENTER OF THE UNIVERSE! Eternity has NO reason to just give someone whatever they want under ANY circumstances! He tells you to do something, you just DO IT. You don't negotiate payment. You don't deserve a wish just by FINDING him. You come to him and beg for help and he'll decide if he wants to do anything, you don't get to negotiate here!
    Thanos, with the full infinity gauntlet, was more powerful than him. And the Living Tribunal is more powerful than him. The One Above All is more powerful than EVERYTHING but he doesn't tend to poke his nose into things. Just things happening is already an expression of his power. Eternity is being BELITTLED in this movie if he's just a plot device to FIX GORR THE BLOODY GOD BUTCHER!

      yeah! The idea that gorr would even go to eternity as to accomplish his goals is absolutely ridiculous in it of itself. They nerfed all the cool aspect of him to serve the plot, just like the fully assembled infinity gauntlet. It doesn’t seem lime these directors can handle the concept of someone being omnipotent pfft.
      Minor correction with Gorrs story. Knull was there, but it was actually the god he was fighting that begged gorr for help, only to be slaughter for his negligence. I think it slightly implied knull was the reason that worlds gods were too busy to help the planet as well but I might interpreted that part wrong. In all honestly i’m not sure if gorr ever had a chance to shine in the mcu properly

    I’m gonna be honest:
    I am really sick of seeing Taika Waititi being named dropped in film.
    He’s a great and capable director but when I heard he was doing this and an unnamed Star Wars film, I knew they were gonna be bad. Because it’s obvious he’s being used to try and get goodwill for a sinking ship and he’s never gonna bring the same energy to these films the same way he brought it to JoJo Rabbit.

      @@mayhemivory5730 in the mcu, not alot have been mentioned about the one above all but in the actual comic books in the marvel universe, I remembered in an all old comic that Thor was talking to a kid and the kid ask if he was a god but Thor acknowledge he was sort of a deity but similar to Zeus, Odin and Ra but also reference there was one supreme being up their far more stronger than him and a god to all.

      If we go by the comics. Then no. ‘The Ones Who Sit Above In Shadows’ Are their gods. And even then those where Asgardians who didn’t get reincarnated during the Ragnarok cycles.
      Anyways. Yahweh isn’t even treated as ‘The God’ of Asgardians in comics. Odin’s closer to a god since he planted Yggdrasil’s tree (the center of the Omniverse) and even then there’s beings above Odin. Yahweh in marvel is barely in the comics. And isn’t important in many stories either. And we know he didn’t create the Omniverse since that was The One Above All. Who is probably the true ‘god’ of marvel.
      But to state it. Yahweh is treated like any other god in marvel. An incredibly powerful being. And is probably below Odin but will never be stated in the comics cause they don’t want to piss off Christians, Jews, Muslims, etc. anyone who believes in God. They’ll be crucified if they treated Christianity like any other religion. Only religion that gets so much special treatment from the entertainment industry is Hinduism.
      Personally, I’m sick of people getting mad at fictional interpretations of mythological characters. Not everyone believes in god. In fact, less and less people believe in him everyday. Christianity may become like Greek Mythology in a few hundred years or longer. But it is dying out in the west at least. And it’s dying fast.

    A point about the anti Christian messaging there, Most attacks on Christianity are also attacks on Islam. Since from an Islamic perspective, Islam is the finalized message of God to mankind and Christianity was the message before it. So they don't need to insult the prophet. This in itself is insulting.

    30:07 To answer the question, who the Gods the Asgardians worship. They're called "Those Who Sit Above in Shadow". It's actually revealed in Ragnarok (the comic), that they're the ones behind Ragnarok. And that Ragnarok itself, was an event that repeated for countless millennia. They created the Asgardians to live an endless cycle of death and rebirth, using their deaths to sustain their power and longevity. With this revelation, Thor at the very end kills them along with himself, despite their offer to join their ranks, a God of Gods. He rejects it, all to finally end the cycle, thus freeing his people from their control once and for all. At the end, Thor dies with the rest of his people. But at the very least, now have peace at knowing they are free from the control of a cruel fate that's tormented them for so long. And they would be later reborn, to finally live lives that were truly theirs.
    Ragnarok was one of the most beautiful stories in Marvel history. And a worthy end to a character like Thor. Which is why I will never watch Taika Waititi's overrated, bastardization.

    One of the biggest problems in modern fiction is an inability to be serious in stories that incorporate comedy.
    If you look at great comedies out there like Nacho Libre however, you find there are some great, impactful serious moments. Yeah, a comedy can have no rhyme or reason and be a good time, but if a lot of comedies have no problem having serious elements, what business do writers in other genres that simply incorporate comedy, think they have in removing any trace of seriousness?

    One of the qualifications for something being a guy is the fact that it can't die is a relatively new qualification in history and many religions things they defined as Gods could die all the time Depending on the mythology
    So being able to die would not disqualify it from being a god

      Yeah even in the comics many characters who refer to themselves as gods can still die even beings as powerful as Eternity. Marvel had an entire event based around Gods dying called Chaos War with Hercules saving the Marvel Omniverse
