This car needs at least 330 hp, 290 is just not enough for the price. Come on Honda/Acura, get it together!!
Bring back the TL-Type S with 350 hp SH-AWD. It'd sell like hotcakes!!
Unless you live in the country it's really unnecessary. The days of open roads and the freedom to really open up a car are long gone thanks to overpopulation in major (U.S.) cities. I can assure that since having my 2018 V6, the limited times I have opened up I've had no problems overtaking other sports cars.
@@daver1161 a TLX is not a sports car. I've owned a variety of cars over the years. Porsche, Corvette, Nissan Z, Lexus RC-F. The TLX is if anything a tourer/econo-box with minimal power over a typical 4 cylinder offered by Honda/Acura or VW/Audi. The TLX is sedated and bland. Not fast in the slightest.
290 is more than it's competitors like the 3 series and c class.
@@chili_boi2537 So, would you like to be the typical kind, or be one that stands out among the rest. Maybe you're open to just being Average. That's no fun bro, especially in the car game. Auto makers try to put themselves above others with advances in technology, drive-line advancements, and of course engineering. Anyone knows that you're better off driving Acura over both Mercedes and BMW. Those German sedans are riddled with issues, and become money pits.
@@daver1161 he's the typical Honda Acura hater. His Kia Sportage suits him well. We'll enjoy the underated fantastic Honda J35 V6.

They should of up the power for the Aspec model.

Why no mention of the reflection of the air conditioning vents into the rear view mirrors?
I have this car and never noticed that reflection. 2 possibilities...either my height or head angle is different than this camera angle you see in the video is different....or my tinted windows cut on the reflection of the chrome vents.
Driving with no hands and facing the rear seat to demonstrate lane keep assist puts other drivers on the road at risk. I have this car, the exact model in the video, and lane keep assist is not perfect (it does not always work). I actually saw the official Acura video where they did the same thing on a public road.
Yup it fails half the time in broad day light. It loses track of the lane and starts drifting off. (Windshield is clean and washed regularly) Almost never works when its raining.
The 9 speed is not a dual clutch

I think it is a dual clutch. I just spoke with an Acura salesman. Oh wait, no the A-spec has the dual clutch, and that’s the one I sat in when I spoke to the salesman.
@@tommiller8k928 nah. 4cyl gets 8speed dual clutch. V6 gets the 9speed automatic. Aspec doesn't make a difference.

That ZF 9 speed needs to go, I won’t buy one with it. If they drop that 10 speed in that and get rid of the two screens I’ll buy one ASAP!
Two screens is actually nice. Top screen is not a recessed at it seems on the video. Also the quality of the screen is nice. Android Auto and Apple Carplay are as up to date as you can be with technology. That's also considering that some other cars don't even offer it yet. ZF9 is better than it was in the 19 model. Software updates have helped.

That tech back in 2002 was only for luxury cars. It’s finally coming to economic vehicles.
Android auto you dont even have to worry about the acura navi

9 speed dual clutch does not come on the 6 cylinder nor does PAWS, very inaccurate review. This is a SH-AWD V6 model with a single clutch 9 speed. The four cylinder has the dual clutch and an 8 speed with PAWS.
The V6 came in two versions, AWD with SH-AWD, and FWD with P-AWS. The 4 cylinder came only with FWD with P-AWS. In the video it's not SH-AWD, it's V6 with FWD and does have P-AWS.
I won't buy another Acura product. Mine hasn't broken yet but it's transmission jerks and slips I'm always worried it will break and cost me money. I'm trying to hurry and get equity and get rid of it before the warranty runs out. I'll even trade it for a Camry.
Mine did the same thing, I got it fixed under warranty twice and it still did it. Traded it for a Lexus GS Fsport

I have a 2019 with 10k miles and since day 1 its had problems going into reverse and i kid you not the transmission is very jerky

What’s these idiots don’t realize is that you should never turn around while you’re driving or remove your hands on purpose because another vehicle could mess up and veer into your lane or an accident could occur ahead of your vehicle. You must always have your hands on the wheel and eyes on the road to be ready to avoid what other vehicles might do. The car cannot detect a dog in the middle of the road or a small child. There are so many examples I could come up with why this is stupid. What if someone was driving in the wrong direction down the highway? Why turn around to prove the safety feature works? These guys are not too bright.
