      I always knew it was going to be a failure
      Mainly because Acura was comparing it to the 3 Series, A4 and C Class.
      Meanwhile the TLX is actually the size of a 5 Series, A6 and E Class.
      In fact its even slighty bigger than an A6 and E Class.

      I'd love to watch it too (Q50 VR30 owner IRL) but I think the more logical matchup is against the non-RS version. A loaded Q50 AWD right now is about $52,000, within a thousand of the loaded (they're all loaded) Type S. A loaded Q50 RS AWD is about $62,000, or about $9,000 more than the Type S. It'd be great to throw in an IS 350 F Sport as well (which, loaded, again, costs about the same as the Type S, whereas the comparably equipped IS 500 is $10k more).
      I guess technically the competitor would be the Q70 and GS in terms of size, but they don't make those anymore. The 2021 TLX reminds me in a lot of ways as how the Mustang, Camaro, and Challenger are all considered direct competitors despite the Challenger being far larger than either of them.

      @M4B21S88 Před 2 lety +3

      Accord doesnt do 5.3 sec, though.
      Dont take car mags too seriously, its marketing ultimately.
      5.2-5.4 sec is the bolt ons and tune Accord, stock Accord does it in 5.68-5.85 sec granted good traction, DA, temps, etc.
      Anyone saying they be doing less than 5.68 sec STOCK, are timing wrong and just fooling themselves, or/and going downhill, or claiming stock when not.
      As per Accord owners themselves in the forums, once DA corrected, the Accord is a 13.95-14.1 sec @ 100-100.5 mph in the 1/4 mile.
      Edit:
      If you watch his Accord vs TLX video , the digs, youll notice that the Accord doesnt fully catch up and goes past the TLX until 6.7--10 secs into the runs, so maybe at around the 1/8 mi mark (~73-76 mph), the Accord starts outperforming the TLX....so.
      My guess is the TLX got a slightly better 0-60 sec but the Accord, being lighter, got a better trap speed and ET THUS, reaching the final line first...the TLX has a 1/4 mi of about 14.4- 14.5 sec @ 97-98 mph. so yeah (not saying they did those times on these races - just that ultimately, and under equal circumstances - same rxn time, both good traction, in their respective sport modes) the Accord should be about 0.3-0.4 sec quicker in the 1/4 mile, with a better p/w (trap).
