How to OPEN Your Above Ground POOL for Summer

Let's work on OPENING an above ground pool for the summer season.
We will take you along as we show our own successes and failures in this lengthy process.
For this video, we used a very green pool, HTH Green to Blue 1 & 2 (three boxes,) Chitosan Clarifier, a good quality pool vacuum with removable scrubber head, an extendable pole with leaf net, and some strong muscles...
While we are not pool experts, we've maintained an above ground pool for at least 5 summers. If you have questions, feel free to leave them in the comments below!

Why aren’t you using an under cover pillow so u don’t have all that water standing on your cover? A Leslie’s winterizing kit will give you a blue (but cloudy) pool when you uncover it as well. No expensive chemical treatments or days of work to be swim ready. We literally take off the cover, backwash and rinse sand filter, run pump 8hrs and can swim the next day.

@@theruralcompanion2779 they make such a difference!! We do two pillowed stacked 2 high and we’ve never had to drain off the cover. The Leslie’s winter kit has been my go to for years.
