    There are no editing tricks in the video. All of the reactions that you see are uncut and play at the original speed.
    This is a classic chemical reaction. It's called the iodine clock reaction. There are several variations of how this chemical reaction can be performed using different chemicals than the ones I used in the video. You can order clock reaction kits from several science related websites. You can also use simple store bought chemicals like vitamin C, iodine, hydrogen peroxide and starch. A quick internet search will turn up multiple ways of performing the experiment.
    Even though I've played around with the clock reaction experiment before I've always wanted to capture the reaction as the liquid was being poured. To me, this is the most stunning way of demonstrating the reaction.
    Here's the other version of the clock reaction I made several years ago

Most people dont actually dont even know what racism is. they think if I point a black dude out in a crowd and say, hey, hes black......they think im being racist. Being racist is thinking that your race is superior to another one. Commenting that someone is black....does not show that you think your race is superior....it shows that your observant.

    • @Milesco
      @Milesco Před 9 lety +31

      No, if there was fuel, it exploded very quickly. And if it's true that the woman stood inside the hole, than there was not much temperature. Most of the fuel was already burned then.

      @darrenhope6465 Před 9 lety +3

      @TheThore Před 9 lety +2

      I have seen such "debunking" videos, with a giant sea of fuel and a thin steal bar, which does not reflect the correct situations. I also have seen a video where they built up steel frames and brought them to fire and no construction fell down. So what do I have to believe? Here I believe the videos of the other real steal frame buildings which were burning for hours but didn't collapse. For example this one in Madrid or in China.

    • @darrenhope6465
      @darrenhope6465 Před 9 lety

      TheThore If you had seen 9/11 conspiracies then you would know it shows both arguments. The reason it came down was because the whole floor was covered in thousands of gallons of jet fuel so every steel beam was being heated in the building you ate talking about the fire was not the entire floor fire and was not on all the supports.

Concentrations of reactants are unchanged EXCEPT by the reaction taking place, which is also at a constant rate (kinetics) so the liquid that is in the little cup is just as far as the pouring container's liquid in terms of reaching the clock or the 'cool black part'

    I had to watch it a few times, because that first time it turns black there seemed to be a jump, and the glass looked different, and I know some others have said the same. I had to put my hand on the screen to cover the liquid and only look at the top of the glass, at which point I realized that it was just the rim of the glass darkening, as it refracted the black liquid.
    Also, I never studied chemistry, I studied physics, so as someone pointed out, simply not knowing something doesn't make them stupid. When would I have encountered this in my life?

    Back in the 80's in a small town, I witnessed a 'miracle vendor' who was 'demonstrating' the powers of an amulet, he was selling, and at the time, I did not know, he poured the contents of a vial, and it turned the clean water dark. Then he said to look a the power of the amulet and he immersed into the water, and it cleared up, just like here. People began purchasing it. It turns out to be a fake, something I suspected, but did not know how it was done.
