1st point I wish to make is - lingam in Sanskrit means ' mark of '. The Sanskrit term for penis is shishna. So a phallus correctly termed wid be shishna yoni. Latin got it wrong ie ling to them was incorrectly taken to be male penis.
2nd point - lingams are asteroid rocks ( parts of a larger asteroid that broke up in the atmosphere under intense heat as it entered the earth. To the ancients the heavens where the sky & beyond , the stars where deities & the cycles was them talking to us so fireballs from the sky wid be taken as the gods wrath. The middle East seems to have also experienced a lot of falling sky debris, India as well not just modern india but what we call Bharat. His followers go all over murdering the worshippers of the same black stone in the Kaabah ! How did they draw a difference between our Hindu lingam& their Muslim lingam ? Hypocrisy @ its height ! Seems like Mohammed's plan was to have only 1 shiv lingam in the world to direct us all to that single lingam as a source of spiritual power like a single cosmic gateway . Muslims must explain the existence & worship of the black stone along with the clear vedic rituals EG - wearing of white cloth to go to Kaabah , the direction people walk around it , no blood is to be spilled or animals sacrificed . & Stoning a rock calling it satan ! Let Islamic scholars explain the black stone & reveal Satan inside the rock they stone !

Places of worship act was brought in 1992 by parliament so it can be amended in larger public interest by parliament but will the Muslim side accept it??
