    In this stellar episode of AJIO Presents The Ranveer Show, we host Dr. Vikram Sampath. He is a popular Indian historian, noted for authoring biographies of Gauhar Jaan and V. D. Savarkar.
    Bangalore-based historian Dr. Vikram Sampath is the author of 8 acclaimed books of history including biographies of Gauhar Jaan & Veer Savarkar & Bravehearts of Bharat on unsung heroes of India. He was elected as a Fellow of the prestigious Royal Historical Society of the UK, a winner of the Sahitya Akademi's first Yuva Puraskar in English literature & the ARSC Award for Excellence in Historical Research in New York. He has a Ph.D. in history & music from the University of Queensland, is a trained Carnatic vocalist & has established India's 1st digital sound archive for vintage gramophone recordings called the Archive of Indian Music.
    This video is a breakdown of the Indian Freedom Struggle. The Indian independence movement was a series of historic events with the ultimate aim of ending British rule in India. It lasted from 1857 to 1947. Few leaders followed a more violent approach, than the others. This became especially popular after the Rowlatt Act, which permitted indefinite detention. The Act sparked protests across India, especially in the Punjab province, where they were violently suppressed in the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. The Indian independence movement was in constant ideological evolution.
    He is one of the most knowledgeable guests on the show. Hope you enjoy this episode.

    That's very interesting Q&A session.. The historian mentions that given an opportunity he would love to go back to the time of Shivaji Maharaj and evolution of Buddhism and preindependence era... I would like to share my research information on these:
    1. Evolution of Buddhism- The word Buddha means an enlightened one.. Any body who achieves this states is known as buddha in Buddhism.. Buddha belonged to that region which falls between Koshala region and Mithila Region I.e., the birth places of Lord SriRam and Goddess Sita Maa. And, even in vedic scriptures, Buddha is mentioned as one of the avatars of Vishnu... So, Buddhism is more or less akin to Samkhya Philosophy (founded by Sage Kapila). Per Sanathana Dharma, there are 6 major philosophies and Samkhya(Buddhist Philosophy) is one among them.. I understand, it got branded as protestant religion just because it was the religion of BR Ambdekar the father of our constitution.. It was the time when casteism really wrecked havoc in this region as it was well used notorious tool by the British to divide and rule the country...
    2. Chatrapathi Shivaji Maharaj's motivation behind Pan Hindu Empire --- He lived in those times when the entire region was brutally invaded by Foreigners and demolished many of the religious institution and had made all the Indian kings as their servants..No Kshatriya/warrior (not necessarily king) would allow that kind of state to flourish in his home country.. That's the primary duty of a warrior.. Shivaji's mother was a brave warrior woman who had always wanted to free her motherland from these barbaric foreigners.. She gave the right guidance and made little Shivaji to take up this journey to free the homeland from foreigners.. Shivaji grew up seeing the kind of sacrifices his parents made just to ensure that the normal civilians would get harassed further for being nonforighners.. His father lived in Bangalore and his mother with whom he grew up lived in Pune region.. Not because they were separated but it was a strategy adopted by his parents to put Shivaji out of sight of Nawabs, Sultanat and Mughals.. And then, after winning many forts and regions he gives way everything to his guru Ramdas(Lord ShriRam and Hanuman's great devotee who was believed to had Darshan of both).. and upon his instructions, he ventures out to build Ramarajya/ Hindavi Empire..This was the primary cause behind the great Shivaji.. Hope this information helps.
    Thank you🙏🙏🙏

      @@hehehellohi_bjp is not at the extreme right, it's centre right party. You haven't seen what extreme right wing is till yet. The American Republican party is the extreme right wing party as of today. Whereas congress today is the extreme left party as it is supporting crypto Christians and jihadists + mix of commies , ultra socialism . We are seeing what is happening in Karnataka, the state has no money left for development as everything is being used for useless freebies , continuous power cuts , high electricity price , water problems . Nehru's socialism is to be thanked for today's state of congress

    • @hehehellohi_
      @hehehellohi_ Před 5 měsíci +1

      @@jyotiradityachoudhury7987 bjp is very radical about their pseudo hindu political movement ( Hindutva ). Economically I would say they're centre right but socially they're easily close to far right. Even tho BJP & their followers don't follow the real Hinduism but they have a radical stance about their hindu identity. Bjp followers from the cowbelt area believe in homogeneous culture or single cultural identity for all in india, following the footsteps of frauds like savarkar. Moreover the amount of hate they spew towards other religious grps online is highest itw. Policies like abrogation of Hajj subsidy, CAA bill, uttarakhand freedom of religion, MP & UP freedom of Religion ordinance ( & many more) shows the allure of rw Islamophobic policies.
      Lastly if bhagat Singh was born during this period, his condition would've been similar to kanhaiya laal or Umar khalid under BJP rule. Hard facts

      Politicians from opposition parties are always friends with each other, except the absolute apex, party members from different groups and even ideologies are often friends. These people have different personal and professional lives AS IT SHOULD BE. Thats how they are exposed to different ideas and thus can make there own mind about different issues. Thats the beauty of democracy, you are not at cut throat distance from one another and hence being friends is more than possible
