    A large portion of kidnapping is done by people the child trusts - often family. A lot of parents that don't have custody or are aware that they will lose custody. That commercial is really good.

      I love the idea of portraying men as protectors, rather than the predators for once. It's a bit against my philosophy of strict neutrality about that sort of thing, but it's been the other way around in fiction so many times and for so long, I can only feel relief. There are some of us out here. Most men, all that I know, are protectors, and we all love kids.

      I have amber alerts on my phone, and during kidnapping season in my area (Yep. That’s a thing…) it’s always a parent or sibling, or other family member, and it’s always kids between 2-8. Kids too young to ask questions when a grownup they know is friendly to them suddenly picks them up and takes them away.
      It’s a small town, so we usually find them, thankfully. I caught one in my drive-thru once. Stupidest thing you can do if you’re a kidnapper. I didn’t know them personally, so I don’t know the details why, but the kid was obviously hers, and she probably just wanted time with them. That still doesn’t justify kidnapping.

    The Amber Alert commercial is actually really good imo. It subverts expectations and stereotypes, by having a female kidnapper and a worried father. And like others have said, family can kidnap too, women can be abusive, men can be loving. Also, it shows a community coming together to find and safely return a child to their home.

Down in the States I could see someone having to selling their limb(s) to help pay for the lifesaving surgery of themselves or another, but for something like this, no f-ing way. Secondly, what kind of a person would take someone's limb, so they could have a completely unnecessary experience. And it's not like they'll have anything concrete to show for it either. Black bears are naturally less aggressive than grizzlies or polar bears and usually only younger black bears will be brave enough to try and attack individual people/two or three people; so it's very easy to scare them off with groups of people or even just extremely loud noises. They asked Rick Astley if they could include him in the movie (secretly for this Rick Roll).
    They also Rick Rolled Rick Astley with it.

    The Omegle trick could also be done by switching the camera inputs from the first cam, to the loading screen, to a second cam. Of course that wouldn't work with the instant cuts in that one example, but it explains how he saw himself in the end. It was probably partially pre-recorded and partially live-edited.

    • @Leon3789
      @Leon3789 Před 2 lety +5

      If you watch the full videos the guy did on youtube, he actually live reacts and responds to people in the first cam (When he starts the magic trick), So you're likely correct at it being partly live, partly pre-recorded (The actual cut aways are obviously pre-recorded)
