  • ***MAKE SURE TO BIND THE COMMAND "THROTTLE"
NOT "THROTTLE 1" AS SHOWN ABOVE***
=**UPDATE**=After a fresh windows Calibration of my throttle I can get the controls bound perfectly to the Axis command as it should be. I will leave this video up in case anyone else needs to see where/how to set the throttle/collective in preparation for takeoff.
In this video I want to show you guys what is necessary to be configured to get the Huey to take off.
A lot of you have messaged me asking about the throttle/collective binding. Personally my X56 Throttle worked as an Axis for the throttle but has since stopped..If that happens to you use this trick to still get the aircraft up and flying.

This makes me feel more confident in buying the Huey. Never flown Helos in XP11, but I really want to fly this. This also shows how I can map the commands in my current flight controller, something I've been pondering how to do, now I can apply a solution.

If you are having issues with the binding I have just solved mine, 1 try a fresh calibration in windows and step 2 be sure to bind the command "Throttle" NOT "throttle 1" or "throttle 2" as depicted in the video. Hope this helps!

Luv the video the simplicity and straight to the point. This how the tutorial video should be like.

Well done. I couldn't for the life of me work out what was not working. My Huey in Digital Combat Simulator works perfectly which made the Nimbus UH1 hard to figure out. Perhaps they will combine collective with throttle to make life easier.

I haven't had any issues with my throttle binding. I did have to bind the starter to a keyboard setting though, as the switch on the joystick doesn't work for the Nimbus Huey. (it works great for the new Hughes 500 but it also doesn't work for my Dreamfoil 407.)

Interesting, something must have happened in the new version of X-Plane because however much i try i can not lift off, the RPM goes down, i have assigned the throttle to an axis, i've used the mouse, everything and it just simply do not work :( Also the main rotor is trimmed up(?) so it want's to flip backwards anytime I managed to get the helicopter to lift before the RPM dropps and the helicopter engines dies and burns. Shame would like to fly it in X-plane as well as DCS, have no problem in DCS but in X-Plane i can simply not even take off.
