    I'm annoyed that this came to me now and not during any part of the video's creation, but Eorzea Collection is a really good resource as you can actually look at almost all of the gearsets the game has to offer, whether it comes from a dungeon, raid, pvp, or other content. ffxiv.eorzeacollection.com/

    • @idno4856
      @idno4856 Před 4 měsíci +11

      Yeah it's really a good resource. For those not used to it, it'll not only show you the names of items but if you click on the piece it links back to the FF14 database so you can see where to get the item. If it's craftable, and an additional click will send you to the required mats and where/how to get them plus vendor cost if applicable

    It's worth checking if the item is part of a set that comes from a coffer. The main one I remember are the Firmament glams like Peacekeeper and Casual, where one of the pieces is like 90%+ of the cost so grabbing the coffer can get you a couple extra items at very close to no cost.

    PALACE OF THE DEAD FLOORS 1 TO 50
    The bronze sack (Floors 1 to 50) has a HUGE list of cosmetics a lot of them valuable to sell.
    A quick summary of the sets in the BRONZE sack of potd

    One option not listed in the video (and one I don't think people are super familiar with because it's a bit convoluted) is the Black Summer gear. It uses the same model as the lunar/solar sets on the MogStation with the same caveat - you can't dye it. It's obtained via achievement certificates which accrue pretty quickly, so it's a great choice if you're looking for something quick and easy to make a proper swimwear glam out of. Plus, the top is pretty versatile and the bottoms are a good option under various types of dresses.
    To get the Black Summer gear, you need to speak with Jonathas in Old Gridania (near Apkallu Falls). The closest aetheryte is Mih Khetto's Amphitheatre. You'll need to have at least (4) achievement vouchers in order to get (2) Cascadier Uniform Voucher(s). When you've got two of these vouchers, you'll head to Mor Dhona and speak with Aelina near the markets. You can trade the vouchers to her for the following items: Black Summer Top, Black Summer Halter, Black Summer Trunks, or Black Summer Tanga. The top/trunks are locked to men and the halter/tanga are locked to women.
    Hopefully this helps someone!

      @allegrakaito Před 3 měsíci

      @@xakorik4832 Depending on how long you've been playing, they used to be the 60-day veteran reward along-side the black chocobo chick. This changed during 4.1 when the current standing of veteran rewards went into effect and most of the goods were transferred to Jonathas. So, if you were playing prior to that, then you'll receive the old rewards. I figured they would've updated this, but that doesn't seem to be the case. 🤔

    • @spiritmuse
      @spiritmuse Před měsícem +1

      @@allegrakaitoYeah, everyone who won veteran rewards under the old system will keep those on their account and will receive them for each new character that they make, even though the tiers and rewards have changed. Presumably they thought it would be unfair to take rewards away from people just because they decided to change the system.

On free trial you also can not access the marketboard at all, and can not even do trades. So you really need to be self efficient in this game if you want to look cute but are stuck playing the free trial version of the game.

    Really good info as always
    I could be wrong but I believe you unlock the Emperor's new clothes when you unlock glam and dyes from that lady you mentioned. I remember that for years I had assumed that those were cash shop items before realising I had already unlocked them haha.
    For those who don't like PvP, the non-dyable versions of the items from the disreputable merchant lady are available from the Gold Saucer.
    Last point, before traveling to an NPC merchant, check what the MB price + tp costs are. Don't spend 1k to tp to save 300 gil.
    Also Aitherea showed it but didn't mention it, but you can use certain items to delete others. You can sometimes use that to your advantage.

    May be worth a mention that glam from grand companies is locked to actually being in that company, so if you switch at some point (or worse, want different pieces from different companies, like me), you'll be locked out of using the previous GC gear as glam until you switch back. hmm, most of what i could think of i already put into the video. As you level up the gear from dungeons does get better, and one of my favorites is from shisui of violet tides, but not everyone will like that since its cropped stuff xD Bonewicca stuff from Swallow's Compass aint bad either. Otherwise you can get a black swimsuit by exchanging cascadier uniform tickets (which come from jonathas in gridania, hes the achievement guy) in mor dhona.

      yes! this is because they give you the gear BEFORE the wedding so that you can wear it TO the wedding. This is only the case for the free clothes though. If you pay for the version that has the chocobo, you will need to go through with the ceremony because you get the chocobo AFTER.

    Fashion Report. The shop with Kasumi only unlocks if you get 100 points x times in a row - I think its 8 times. Something like "win 800 points in 8 weeks) or somesuch. She doesnt oben shop right away... unless they changed that ^^°
    9:57 --- I prefer the Adders: the casting crown is unmatched and fits with every glam ^.^ And though they may not be as cute as the Flamme's loincloth, the Adder's caster bottoms are every versatile, too. Though I have to add, I like the more "rustic" glams as opposed to "flimsy", "cute" ones - unless I play dancer that is ^.^
    14:21 --- You have climb the ranks first to unlock this feature :( I think need the third or forth level (counting from bottom here) before you can exchange (dungeon) gear for seals with that NPC.
    Also, edit: I'm not sure (maybe its different merchants: I usually go to the one in Mor Dhona), but the emperor's gear only unlocks if you have leveled you crafters beyond a certain threashold. I had that just recently with my alt... But yeah, maybe its different merchants?

    • @Aitherea
      @Aitherea  Před 4 měsíci +1

      Good clarifications! There's still some fashion to be had with the grand company even at low ranks (though its not the cutest imo), but you're right, some of the better stuff may take time. For those that are still low levels, theyll want to be farming the GC hunt log + roulettes for seals so they can work on their promotions and be able to turn in gears for seals so they can buy things, whether that be gears or prisms or crafting stuffs!

    • @Gogoglovitch
      @Gogoglovitch Před 4 měsíci +1

      Kasumi's shop opens in stages, based on how many total points you've earned. It's 600 points to unlock everything (which takes six weeks if you're getting the max score each time, eight weeks if you're just getting 80 points a week), but several things will open up before then. She also has housing items and other interesting miscellany, so it's worth looking in after each week's fashion report.

    Just to add, if you've just started to play and have no Gil, you can make a new character on the Dynamis data center and level to 30. Upon reaching level 30 you will instantly gain 1,000,000 Gil. You can then have a friend help you trade that over to your main character, or just use the Dynamis character as your main character.

    I just really wish they would add a catalog for all the glamour where you can just access anytime as a separate slot, but they’re currently taking up inventory slots and it’s just a hassle to keep all of them without adding more retainers.

    • @Aitherea
      @Aitherea  Před 3 měsíci +2

      You need to go to the inn and put them in the glamour dresser! Some of them will fit in the armoire (event fashion and mog station fashion). It costs glamour prisms to add stuff to the dresser but if you're in the inn and use the dresser you can apply the glams for free. Also within the dresser you can create glamour plates c:

      @duskshadow25 Před 3 měsíci

      @@Aitherea Oh, thank you for responding, Aitherea! I knew they had a glamour dress, but I was talking about that not being enough because if you're someone that collects all different kind of clothing, they add up fairly quickly. You're eventually forced to throw some out or get more retainers to make more spaces. I was talking about if they can add a separate catalog similar to World of Warcraft where players can just access it from anywhere (excluding dungeons/raids) and just equip/unequip it from that catalog, similar to how you would open your inventory and just eat a food for buffs. It's the same with fishing too, as in it would be a life changer if they just add a separate tab just for storing all your fishes and baits, instead of those taking up your inventory slots too.
      This is basically something that a large part of FFXIV community would hope Yoshi-P would add in Dawntrail, or at the very least in the near future 😅

    • @Aitherea
      @Aitherea  Před měsícem

      There are 2 kinds of PVP. One is a 5 v 5 mode and the other is massive with 3 teams of 24. Frontlines is the massive one and while you will sometimes get people who really want to win, most people are really chill about it. The 5v5 version has a casual mode and a ranked mode, but both give the same rewards in terms of the glams and series malmstone stuff. The 5v5 is called crystalline conflict and you actually can't type in chat, you can only use preset statements to communicate. This prevents toxic behavior. PVP is nothing to be afraid of in FFXIV. Anyone can do it and your skill level doesn't really matter c:
      Oh there is also something called rival wings that is only 2 teams of 24. It's the most fun version of PVP and it does count toward series malmstones, but not a lot of people do it because it isn't part of the roulette. It's hard to queue into at all unless you join the pvp revival group which goes on Saturdays in primal dc. The daily Frontline roulette rewards the most PVP exp in one go, which is what you need to level the series malmstones to get trophy Crystals for glam.
