Lavar Ball ok but you can have a 200k watch that looks like a regular watch, and you can get one that’s just covered in diamonds. Also not everyone buys watches just bc they’re expensive. They buy them bc of their role in history, as well as their mechanical complications and quality.
One thing he didn’t mention, the Royal Oak was designed by renowned watch designer Gerald Genta.
Mr Genta was also responsible for many designs for the big brands today such as IWC, AP, Patek and so on. The Nautilus was designed by Genta for Patek.
In fact the Royal Oak and Nautilus were designed almost around the same time.

Most of these watches are super exclusive and trendy hence the msrp on some of them. But rolexs have the best value and go up in MSRP. I would love to see Roger's collection of rolexs. Probably can wear a different one each day of the year lol

The things is you can’t buy most of these at retail. You need to buy them second hand - which inflates the price. Example - Federer’s SkyDweller that “you can get for under 20k...” you won’t find one under 45k

There may be exceptions, of course, but the Speedmaster has a hand wound movement, not an automatic. That is one of many things I love about it, if you are going to have a mechanical watch you should have to wind it.

The truth is that its just cool to own such a watch because it subcontiously "makes you a pilot/racecar driver". Redbull and Monsteris using the same marketing tool just with extreme sports instead of pilots and racing. You can stop time with a 15€ casio.

ok, the orange scheme is not for Nadal's "native Spain" lol. It's an homage to his success at the French Open, which is known for its red-organish clay courts. There are also lines on the watch that clearly represent the lines of a tennis court.
