Honestly I think most people who are 'into' watches have stories behind them, there certainly are a bunch of people who are wealthy enough to just buy anything/everything they want but for most people it's usually a celebration of achieving a goal or something similar (like Daniel's engagement Rolex).
A watch is usually a physical embodiment of that and since there are SO MANY watches that you could pick, the one(s) that you do end up picking out usually says something about your personality because you've likely spent a lot of time agonising over which one(s) to buy.

My favorite collection so far on this channel. That side-by-side shot of the black dial patek and AP is 🤌

I'm so happy to see a seiko 5 in a talking watches episode. A watch that anyone can own and not appreciate from afar

amazing how Daniel's character in Lost was given a ring by his wife's father, and it was Rolex too. Its a pivotal part of their relationship, also.

Loved him in Lost, and after watching this I love his down-to-earth watch-geek character even more. And he brought up Grand Seiko!

It’s funny how he mentions his dad and Seiko as I have a similar story where my Dad for the longest while had a Seiko and I’m looking at a Grand Seiko for myself and maybe for my father.

  • @rodrigogutierrezreyes4702

Great video, loved it!. Live it when your guests are so deeply into watches, that it's not just the looks of the watch. There's history, there's knowledge behind all of it.
