He'd literally be serving a prison sentence for a whole list of murder charges. This is real fighting. Don't be aroused by the hype. Eddie is a real fighter. Conor has the mental edge over everyone and no fighter so far can get past that. Make no mistakes, the fight was won before he even fought Conor.
McGregor has worked a lot on it and has improved his stance, learned to be smarter and minimize risks. He's just super solid right now. Very difficult to hurt him after first fight against Diaz. Win or lose, the man takes lessons from every fight and keeps improving.

He got taken down and slipped or reversed his way out of a bunch of attempts from the top. Big deal if you get taken down, it is how you get out of it. Apart from Nate when he was gassed, he has done just fine on the ground and is only now even better at stuffing takedowns and not getting caught with his distancing so that he can be taken down. Kahbib is the next logical test to take. I think Conor beats him too though. Khabib's standup looks atrocious for the most part.

I love McGregor I think hes a blueprint for mma fighting when it comes to stand up, but he called himself "the most active champion at all weight divisions". Active? definitely. but he's never defended any of the 3 (and now 4) belts that he won. So calling himself an active champ is kinda farfetched. I'd like to see him vs. Aldo again, or test himself against Khabib
Congrats to Conor who obviously bossed the fight, but I seriously can't understand why Eddie didn't try to wrestle him to the ground more. I'm far from an expert, but if you're getting destroyed on your feet why not try and take it to the ground more?
KillerKumstar he shot for the takedown a few times and got stuffed and then he had him on the fence for a minute or so, but when you get cracked by that left hand you just get into survival mode and for Eddie survival mode is just to stand and throw anything he got.
In eddies own words, that slow pace of Conor dragged him into the standup fight. The thought, okay I got this. Not the best decisions afterwards.
