This was no help at all ! ‘Fixing’ you said ! Where is the fix -answer,buy a new one - but will that be any more reliable. There are clearly a lot of frustrated people having the same problem. SumUp do something about it.

The device seems to go into this mode if several keys are pressed randomly on the keyboard; so called tamper mode … whenever I’m given a machine to make a payment I will try to figure the sequence and post when known. Until then I’m off to izettal!

Well, thank yu for letting me know I shouldn't bother staying with them - you say 'not cheap' - they're £39! nearly double squareup. I dropped mine, although the date it got blocked was weeks later sitting in a cashbox! If it can get blocked from just having a card put in wrong I'm not waste money buying another one!
Otherwise, youve wasted my time with your misleading video title, and you got a dislike for it!

You can't fix it. When it gets blocked, it probably blows an e-fuse inside one of its security chips. It's blocked permanently, and you have to replace it.
