I was actually going to use this at work. I deliver furniture and sometimes folks "don't have cash, sorry" sucks. This at the least will get a laugh out of me. Seeing their faces as I whip out this thing. 😂 Put them on the spot to get a tip for carrying all the heavy shit up stairs.

You can set it to pay out the next day or monthly.
If you set up next day it Will normally pay by 7pm the next day without fail.
If you have set up monthly then it pays out the 3rd working day of every month by 7pm without fail

I've been using Paypal Here for some time. It's been good but the point of sale experience has sometimes been marred by comms failures and bluetooth registration failure. The SUmUp device looks So much faster to use at the point of sale. I also like the transactions go direct to your nominated bank account, rather than via Paypal. I'm sold. I've registered and ordered my new Air. Thanks for a great video.

Does this have like a tap and go donation feature? So if I'm busking, can I set it to take £1 donations without having to reset it up for each donation? Or will I have to stop what I'm doing to program it each time someone wants to donate?

I am now thinking of getting a sum up air for using at some craft fairs that I am booked into so people have the option of paying by card if they don’t have cash. Would this sum up air be a useful thing to have for that please and do you have to have a separate business account or can you set up so any payments made can go straight into your personal bank account. Also do you have to have a separate printer to print out a receipt or do you just enter a persons email address once payment has gone through. Thank you

Some apps, Whatsapp for instance, will allow you to use their app on 1 device only.

Any chance I take a payment by phone, with the details bank card, like long number in the front car, expired date and the 3 digits in the back.
Because I need take a lot payment by phone.
Not long started a small business and looking into card machines. So many costly ones.
Just purchased the sumup at £19 and its so easy to set up. Payments go through fast aswell.
Let you know next week on payments to my account as they can take around 3 working days.

payment sent £1 to my self with the receipt, the receipt sent to my
email, was very alarming, it gave out my full personal address,and my
full name totally breaching my privacy,and leaving me wide ope to fraud
as the customer would have most of my private info, did or does your sum
up give out your private address,and your full name?, or do you know
way not to send that info

whats the average wait time for payments to be transferred into customer account please?
I know im a little late to the party but have two Q's. Do you need to have the app linked to a business account or can you use a personal one? will it work anywhere or do you need wifi?
It also accepts Samsung Pay in Switzerland
i'm actually worried about using it just incase there's hidden contract details like a minumum payment or some other sneaky payment they get off you or is it a genuine great to use device? Andy

If you are a 1 person small business starter, then yes i would recommend sumup or izettle whichever is best for you. They both record the transactions of each item, so you can always look back for tax payment or whatever.
How do you transfer the money to your bank account after each transaction people make when they pay?????
Had to come WATCH this. We have an event for work in May that will include an auction component. Our current service is much higher so this would be a nice and fast option. Do you know if we could purchase more than 1 and have them all logged in to work under the same account?
Adri SZ Hey this is a great use case and SumUp actually had a special feature called "employees" for this. There's one main account that has all the bank depositing details in etc, and then you set up employee accounts that just enable multiple employees to take payment. Check out their website for more info, but the short answer to your questions I believe is YES :)
Of course you need an account set up. But if you’re account doesn’t have an active card yet. Does that mean your payments won’t go through?

In Brazil this card reader use AAA batteries and do not have NFC.

Does anyone know if you have to enter the amount that you are charging on your phone for it to connect every time? Or can you enter the amount on the actual device and press enter?
Does it need a data connection or does it connect via the phone app?
It takes seconds for the customer to pay but up to 3 days before it shows up in your bank on Sumup. Get square it's next day in the bank and if you want it in the bank same day you pay 1 percent which is about 50p for sending 50 quid.

does only approved transactions go through? for example, lets say a customer wants to pay with a card but they dont have sufficient funds (tho they do not know) and they insert the card, will it get declined right there and then? i just want to know to ensure i will be getting paid for my goods and services. i'm just guessing, but surely, if they dont have funds, then it will decline.
if it approves, then it would be the banks responsibility for approving a transaction which should not have been approved.
I doubt they will claw-back the money from your account.
I pretty sure this is how it should work.

Is there a video on CZcams that will show me how to open the Is Box and show me how many different ways you can swipe the card maybe you can even tell me what color the sum up is..... Or maybe somebody on here can actually show us how to SU charge multiple different items or services In one lump payment sum do I have to add or punch in the numbers the sum up unit itself and then create an invoice

could this work with a tablet connected to wifi? We run a busy bar and need a 2n card machine but i don't want to have to leave my phone behind the bar for the staff to use. Therefore a tablet would be better.

From what I’ve seen, I think you link it to your bank account when you sign up and then it takes about 3 days to be deposited into your bank from sunup.
Guys just to let you know it take 2-3 working days to credit your bank account. Sometimes they retain some of your money and you'll get probably 10% of your daily sales. I'd recommend using your own bank to set it up
