He recorded a few more songs in addition to this one, mainly for the movie ”Roadhouse”, but also a beautiful male duet called ”Brothers” for the movie Next Of Kin. Most people here have already pointed out what an insanely multitalented man he was. His career took off when he starred as Orry Main in the tv series ”North and South” (where he also showed amazing skills on horseback). Next, Dirty Dancing catapulted him to international fame. He trained as a professional ballet dancer before he became mainly an actor, but he excelled at literally anything, be it singing, dancing, acting, all kinds of sports (check out the movie Point Break starring him and Keanu Reeves, another great motion picture where he shows his skills as a surfer). I’m always so glad and grateful I grew up at a time when multitalented people like him inspired us teenagers. ❤ You just don’t find these qualities in modern day artists anymore. He was a rare gem, very underrated, and he’s sorely missed. Let me recommend a few more movies/songs you MUST check out. Movies: Dirty Dancing, Point Break, Ghost. Road House is also a classic, although the story’s flat, but he absolutely shines in that one. You’ll love Point Break, just make sure to watch the 1991 original, not the 2015 remake dishonoring Patrick’s legacy. A beautiful rare one is also City of Joy (where he plays a doctor in India, very hard to get movie nowadays). Songs: Cliff’s Edge, Raising Heaven In Hell Tonight, Brothers. There’s also a beautiful live performance of ”Love Hurts” on YT that he did with Larry Gatlin once. Last but not least, let me say how much I enjoy your videos. It’s so beautiful seeing you, from a younger generation, discovering and appreciating the wonderful artists my generation grew up with. They must not be forgotten, so thank you for honoring them and keeping their memory alive by introducing them to your YT followers. 🙏 Btw, the female singer’s name is Wendy Fraser. AND I forgot to mention that Patrick didn’t only sing She’s Like The Wind, he wrote the song himself.

One hit wonder as a singer, but he was one of the biggest box office stars of his generation. With his busy acting schedule at that time, it's not a real surprise that he didn't pursue singing as a career. The woman at the end was not his singing partner in the song. That was his wife, and they were married for over 30 years. I actually know and have worked with Patrick's brother Don, who is also an actor, but mostly a character actor who plays more background roles.

Aaaaaaaah man, Patrick Swayze, that was my baby there!! So glad you played that one. The official video was much better, for it showed him & the lady singing, but I'm still glad you played him. The woman at the end was his wife, not the lady he was singing with. If you wanna see a great movie he's in, try the movie Dirty Dancing, which features "She Like The Wind". He probably caught damn near everyone off guard years ago, when we saw him sing. Beautiful voice he had...

The singer who comes in at the end is Wendy Fraser. The song was co-written by Patrick Swayze and Stacy Widelitz, a Country singer who was his long time friend. Wendy was Stacy's girlfriend. The song was originally credited as performed by Patrick Swayze and Wendy Fraser.

Haven't heard of Patrick Swayze?! That makes me feel so old! He was one of the biggest film stars in the world in the 80s! You have to watch Dirty Dancing and Ghost! Two AMAZING films. Dirty Dancing almost went straight to video release, because no one thought it would make any money. Ended up being one of the highest grossing movies of all time! Ooh don't forget Point Break with Keanu Reeves and Nick Nolte.
