  • Does 1 Corinthians 14 support modern Charismatic tongues? Is it describing a special gift, distinct from languages in Acts 2, which is full of syllables no one can understand? The answer is clearly no. Rather, 1 Corinthains 14 clearly shows an application of the same gift of tongues described in Acts 2, which is a gift of knowing real earthly languages without study. That is a divine miracle, and that gift is no longer with us. I walk through much of this chapter from 1 Corinthians to show how clearly it shows that tongues are languages.

Hello Brother, thanks for your teaching. In the recent months God changed my perspective in a lot of topics since I started to read the writings of the early christians.
I have a husband whom I really love, but he was born into a oneness pentacostal church, which we both attend now. We‘ve discussed the topic of tongues many times already but he is totally sure that the pentacostal tongues are true.
I‘d like to ask you for advice. How does submitting to my husband looks like in topics where I clearly see that they are unbiblical? I found myself not trusting him to lead our family the right way spiritually. He is a sincere christian, but I see some false teachings he believes. It is such a burden on my heart to have so many different opinions. Should I just stay quiet and pray for him? Whats the right way of a biblical wife, when having different theological opinions?

You're welcome. Thank you for writing me, sister. Naturally, even if your husband believes false teachings, you still need to submit to him, unless he demands you do evil. The Bible teaches women to submit even to ungodly husbands.
As far as religious beliefs, the "oneness" belief which denies the Trinity is a more significant error than false tongues, and one which I believe threatens the soul. It is very hard for anyone to leave behind beliefs that they were raised in. It is alright to explain your beliefs to your husband, but if he does not accept them, do not push it. Pray for him. You can also give him good material to read on the topics, or ask a more orthodox man to speak with your husband, if he is willing. I'd be happy to discuss the doctrine with him as well.
Show him your godliness with your virtuous behavior, your meek spirit, and by honoring him. That alone can be a teaching tool. Feel free to write me at my e-mail, which is beneath my videos.
      Blessings.
