Everyone comparing him to Constantine have not actually picked up a Constantine comic. Sure, he deals with demons, and has demon power in him, but that's where the similarities stop. Constantine doesn't have inherent power. He doesn't have telekinetic power to throw stuff about. Constantine doesn't have mercy. What makes Constantine so powerful... is that he's an asshole. He is weak by magic standards, but he will cross any line and use any trick or loophole to utterly flip the table; which makes him more dangerous than any warlock. He plays filthy and will drag so many more people down just to do what he wants and any little good he does results in many more suffering. And he can shrug it off. He is a wild card that nobody dares to touch and despite being weak, everyone fears him. Lovely jokester too and a lot less edgy.

Heck, ABC actually cancelled two Marvel shows: Most Wanted & Agent Carter (or three if you wish to include Inhumans), and I heard there were several times when ABC wanted to cancel Agents of SHIELD as well, but Marvel Television wouldn't let them. Not to mention that New Warriors was cancelled because none of those aforementioned networks wanted to air it. Just ask casual MCU fans and see if they ever heard of shows like Cloak & Dagger, Runaways, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, etc. Only after Marvel Television was merged into Marvel Studios that Marvel could produced tv shows with higher budgets. And since they're aired in Disney+, they're heavily promoted.
So his power is to stare intensely at things and wait for the CGI team to Houdini shit left and right? Meh, the actor didn't really find a way to bind his actions and the power together, it feels more like he is just in the middle of a satanic furniture party.....

Went and read Prince of lies before reading this series
Just to kind of get a general idea of what to expect
