Not just kids. There was a University experience I was told about back in high school.
The researchers showed two groups of Men and Women of different backgrounds a video of a woman slapping a man. The first group was given no context and when asked to give their opinions they said the woman was in the wrong and shouldn't have done that.
Then for the next group they were told something like that the man had cheated or spent their savings on nonsense, something along those lines before showing him getting slapped. When the second group gave their opinions they generally said that the woman was justified in slapping the man for being an awful person.
Now of course the people in the video were just actors. None of them had done anything wrong and were good people but because they were told that the man had done something wrong suddenly the public opinion turned against the man with no other context than a third party account.

2nd Story: Should’ve broken it off the SECOND he started pushing the topic. Being a single parent sounds scary, but better off get that divorce ball rolling than raising children in a home of growing resentment.
3rd Story: Well, this has to be the first story I’ve heard where the OP’s parents ACTUALLY support OP and not the partner’s infidelity with their other child. It shouldn’t have to feel like a breath of fresh air for parents to actually be parents. Though, I don’t believe OP’s sister deserved that outcome, (Though she did deserve that busted tooth and eye) I feel she did it out of selfishness and spite. If OP gets back to that POS she still calls “husband”, he’ll spend the rest of their lives thinking about HER and “what could’ve been”. OP needs to cut him off permanently. She deserves so much better!
4th Story: I hear so many stories of divorced parents separating children purely out of spite. Filling children’s heads with lies, telling authorities rehearsed lines of “abuse”, or spoiling the ever loving crap out of the kids to tilt the odds in their favor. Afterwards, the “winning” parent does a 180 and treats their kid like a burden, or an ATM as they age. OP needs to lawyer the hell up.

B)I don't hate open relationships. I was describing a very specific instance where a couple is monogamous and one partner starts begging for an open relationship and won't take no for an answer.
Open relationships are fine when they are mutually agreed upon by both and gone into at the beginning with no pressure from either side. When a relationship starts monogamous and one party starts pushing the other for an open relationship, it's less about an actual open relationship and more about a way to cheat without feeling guilty.

Aaand there it is; OP starts to see someone, is about to go sleep with that someone, and then all of a sudden her husband regrets begging to have an open relationship. This is the same song and dance. OP should just divorce this guy and move on, he simply wanted to be the only one to sleep around while OP stays the loyal wife and allows it. In fact he encouraged OP to do it as well and then when OP is about to do it, he changed his mind and is now "sad"

Then there's livestreams where a hundred dollar tip is common just to get you noticed (you'll see that regularly in the bigger streamers on twitch and youtube who don't do adult content, people drop big money there and they aren't getting more than at most seeing the streamer get slightly flustered at multiple hundred dollar donations in a row and saying thank-you)

@@Bevity it definitely was a major thing before, even centuries ago. And something you seem to gloss over: the number of cheaters is even slightly higher among women than among men in some societies. So it's not even that just men do it. It's what many humans engage in, and according to anonymous surveys even the majority of humans seem to engage in at least once in their life time. For the US the ratio appears to be 57% of men and 54% of women admitting to infidelity in a relationship at least once in their lifetime. Hardly any difference between both sexes apparently.
I agree that some content is more readily available today. Especially graphic and video content. But other than that only fans isn't much different from the good old strip club. So availability hasn't changed much on this specific kind of content.
And I'm not even convinced that it's a bad thing in general (though only fans definitely seems to be problematic). As the availability of such content went up, rape rates went down. Today rape is most prevalent in societies which shun pornographic content.
As for such content harming relationships: I don't see that. My wife and I have been enjoying watching such content, and even visiting burlesque shows, together, and our relationship is going great for more than a decade now. Neither of us has been cheating even once...

Not only did this POS cheat on his wife with her younger and likely quite impressionable sister, but she told him she was considering unaliving herself and he told the sister and they kept it quiet and let her die based on how this reads. Yes the sister did something terrible, but the husband is just as bad.

If there's one takeaway I'm learning from these RSlash stories, it's that polygamy and "open" relationships are a sign that relationship is just pretty much over. There's a reason it's just between two people.

I've known two throuples last for more than ten years, but they went into the situation knowing they were going to be a throuple. In both cases, the relationship disintegrated, leaving a couple and the "third one out." I must say that the average length of a marriage in the US is 7 to 8 years, so they beat the odds in a way.

Cheating on someone is not the same as being poly. Tons of polyamorous people make their relationships and marriages work just fine and the main difference between those people and the assholes in these stories is plain and simply mutual consent.

My nanny always said, "Don't let anyone on matter how long you know them how much you love them have control of your finances, credit, birth control, and yourself worth. If a potential partner has a problem with any of those things, they're not worth your time. Or if they try to say if you love me, you'll let me do X. What you say to them it's if you love me you wouldn't ask me to do X" . My grandmother had a long happy marriage and contributed to the household even when that was an unusual thing to do. She ran the nursing program at a university after years of working in intensive care. How many of these stories do we read if people have been given the same piece of advice my grandmother gave they wouldn't end up in that terrible situation.

She also would spread around how he cheated (1 night) but didn't mention how she cheated for literal years with random men and ex bfs... I can't imagine not knowing my dad my whole life, he's one of the best people I know and he STILL regrets cheating. My mom tried to pull the same BS op's mom did! Thank god I'd known my dad till around 7 or I would've trusted what she said, but I didn't. Live with him now and my life is SO much better

3rd story, the wife is a psycho, 1- Never be mad at the lover, be mad at the spouse, the husband in this story had an option, to cheat or to stay loyal, cheating is a choice, in every relationship there will always be a 3rd party, that has try to hook up with the spouse, their job as a spouse is to resist temptation to cheat, as the feelings will always be there both ways, but the bond and trust you build with your partner should always be strong enough to resist the desire to commit infidelity, 2- Never ever destroy property if you plan on divorcing soon, as it will cost you in the divorce court, if they find that you are a nut job, they wont have any empathy for you, 3- Never attack anyone regardless the case, the sister is not the one in a relationship, she shouldn't have been punished for it, that said, it's okay to hold some kind of resentment, but the court system will not see it that way, and you can be charged with assault, and the fact that the wife tried to show up at her door step for round 2, would have put her in jail for a very very long time, if the husband and sister decided to press charges against the wife, she would have been in jail for a long time and she would have been charged with a lot of money, keep in mind cheating is not illegal (For some reason), but it's very much Taboo, and it's not excuse to cause destruction of property and assault, if the wife had kids with the husband she would lose full custody, be smart and think logically.

Story 3: I feel for OP, really, but beating the shit out of her sister, that’s not something that can be excused even in that situation. If OP’s sister had pressed charges for assault, OP would have been in a lot of trouble and that would have been well deserved. Just a slap would have been forgivable and understandable. I think OP is just as much responsible for her sister death as her sister herself.

That open relationship story upset me. I was in a relationship with my boyfriend when I asked to have an open relationship and he was against it at first. After waiting a while I brought it up a few more times and he eventually said yes. I badgered him for it and I regret doing so. Well, that was about 6 years ago and thankfully my boyfriend decided to forgive me and we worked through some stuff. As of last month, we’ve been together for 9 years total and we both identify as polyamorous, though we’ve only had tangential partners, actually my bf has has more partners than I have and I’m perfectly okay with that, I never had a jealousy problem at least. Anyway, I got lucky, don’t push people into open relationships or polyamory…
