I'm working my way round the Outlying Fells as part of the Lakeland 365 project and this was my first time on Irton Pike. Anyone else done this little fell? and what route did you take?

Hi Andy, Phill from the Wolsingham Show, now I understand your comment about how we all get emotional. Seriously love you bro, your vlogs helped me get through hard times after tough cancer ops. So good to meet you in person.

A friend recommended your homemade pochade box info, which I watched and now we will be making some! And I’ve also watched this an a few other vids tonight of your adventurous walks. Thank you for these. Peaceful and inspiring. Have really enjoyed them. Beautiful views. My grandfather’s people were from that area I think.

Thank for the new video, Andy. My wife and I finally made it to Cumbria to kick-off our retirement journeys. Maybe we will get a chance to say hello sometime over the next two months.

Interesting route Andy and a fine tribute to Kevin. I walked up Irton Pike back in 2012 at the start of a route over Whin Rigg and Illgill Head, but love the route you took doing it as a single objective.

Thank you Maggie. The first time on Irton Pike for me and really liked it. This route makes for an nice couple of hours out on the fells when time or weather limits further exploration.

Thank you James, Kevin was a great guy and is sadly missed by family and friends. The fish was part of my obsession with the whole project, I wasn't going to miss out on any so invention was called for :)

Hi Andy, climbed Irton Pike yesterday from car park at the foot marked as a disused pit. Continued on to Whin Rigg and Illgill Head. The stile is still in need of repair! Returned via Miterdale and attempted to follow your route in reverse through the forest but was thwarted by tree felling causing impassable obstacles across footpaths. Don’t know if it was intended or storm damage but really hampered progress. So much so that I abandoned route in favour of road towards Bowerhouse and uphill road trudge back to my car. Still a great walk. Thanks for these videos which give me inspiration to try new routes. All the best.

I did it a couple of years ago . Started by getting the Ratty from Ravenglass to Irton road . then followed the Wainwright route . The stile was in better condition then
