This is how i continued opening my trunk since i swapped out my tail lights has been over a year and works perfectly. Idk why yours was damaged sorry it didnt work out for you
@@mr2dailydriv3n No worries. Since this method damaged the tail light I decided to just smash the tail light out, then dig through it to get the trunk opened. Turns out the reason why the lever stopped working was because the red cable end bit had fallen off the little bracket on the trunk lock, defeating the entire mechanism. Now im on the hunt for new tail lights, and I guess ill go to a Toyota dealership to order new keys and locks for the entire car.
@trevorcannavo damm sorry to hear that. A friend of mine had the same issue he used my video and it worked for him. But dammm sorry to hear you had to break it.
This did not work for my 89 aw11. trying this just severely damaged the metal around the keyhole
