1st movie felt like good world building but not so exciting stuff, and 2nd one really came out w exciting story that's why it kinda feels like u could technically watch the 2nd part without seeing the first one and still semi grasp the idea ?

I liked the first movie and loved the second, but I did think (like all things) it needed to be like 10% more weird. Just a smidge

The next movie should be weirder… if they stick to the book.

Avery seems like a pretty sharp guy which makes it all the more surprising how wildly he could miss the point of the movie. The other guy pretty much nailed it. The movie is 100% American about current year America. Also leaving out the politics of right vs left was extremely important here because having anything about current political sides would have simply been a distraction in the way of what the movie was actually about. And what the movie is about is polarization in America. Not the sides but the polarization itself. And taking that polarization to such an extent that one loses all sense of humanity towards others or oneself. Then the movie nails the point home about losing one's humanity where at the end the girl basically becomes the villain.

Really appreciate the comment and you checking out the channel 🍻 However, I have a suspicion this comment was intended for our Civil War video lol.

I found the first one well made but bland enough that I fell asleep only woken by an incessant banshee wailing .
Also I've also felt the need to side eye people who are REALLY into Dune, they've always come across as the most peculiar of the sci fi fans .
