I love how you point out that vintage and antique stuff doesn't stay the same price all the time. It is really hard to understand and remember that...but so true. We got an antique bedroom set for $1000, that was originally shipped from the UK for $12,000.

Use pool noodles to ship art, bowls and other glass/ fragile items. Takes the worry out of shipping and very inexpensive to buy pool noodles.

I sell alot of vintage electronics and the high end one like a Marantz I'll put one of those warranty stickers that leave a "voided" on the surface when someone takes it off.
I put them on an item so that if they take it apart they'll have to remove the sticker. Ive had people in the past replace the internals with their broken parts and claim its not working.
Side note; I joined when you had like 100 or so subs...It makes me happy to see your channel grow.

The voided sticker seems very exciting on a number of levels but sadly, there are sites on how to remove them.

I put it in the SKU. That box should be just below the title or at the very bottom of the item specifics. The buyer can't see it, either.

Hi Scott! How is the eBay NEW Marketing disclosures and changes going to affect the markdown sales we post. There was so much to read, I lost my concentration and never could figure it out I think they were also talking about specific items or a group of items and designing a ad for you..I'm only interested in the Mark down sales.. Have you read thru it? You are the reason I'm climbing that tall ladder! Still a top seller YAY!
You are too kind. :-) I am not doing any of that when they roll it out. A lot of these things net eBay more through fees than they do benefit buyers or sellers. I'll let others test the waters and see if I want to participate on those things later on.

It has happened 2 times for 2 diff sellers.
I've never had it happen as a buyer. As a seller, I leave automated feedback. But I haven't experienced what you're talking about. You could look at that seller's feedback to see what it says that you left.

Do you think dolls will go up in value in like 5-20 years?
I personally don't think so. I could be wrong, but right now the generation under 25 doesn't seem interested in them. They are the ones who will be buying in the next 10 years. It could shift, but I'm not sure it will.
This is all good information but I'm more interested in where you source the products from. At least in my experience garage sales are not a sustainable resource nor are thrift stores if your trying to list higher quantities and hi volume sales.
They may not be, depending on your definition of hi volume. We were able to gross around 100k a year. But, the vast majority of my inventory comes from private picks. I've spent years telling people what I do and trying to grow opportunities. I'm heading to North Carolina now for a private pick. I do MUCH better with these than I do garage sales. My second best source, which can provide tons of inventory, is from storage lockers.

OH my! You aren't going to believe this, but I completely forgot. 100% forgot. I got excited about idea for the next video and wanted to do that one. I planned on getting back to part 3 and never did.

Scott, do you have a preference on finding the value or to even identify items. For instance, I have some old 3" long round nails with the year stamped on the top. I'm sure they are for collectors because who will use these if you hammer the top, you will destroy the stamp.
I always research rare items. It usually adds to the value when I can list it more accurately. And, on a personal level, I love the process of discovery. So, I enjoy the research.

If it's the first question the buyer has sent you, there should be an option to REPLY WITH OFFER. That is where you would want to do that. OR, you could let them know that you will temporarily lower the price for them. I've done that, too.
