- I hope everyone likes the video decided to go do a night fishing trip and brought my cousin along with me cause he’s never river fished but we did pretty good caught 3 nice fish for the trip and my cousin got his first ever flathead so was really happy to see that anyways hope y’all enjoy the video and thanks for watching.

Never seen ur channel but seeing Scioto river caught my eye..
Used to fish tht river by the Columbus zoo when I lived in ohio around 20 years ago

Well this rivers current is very swift when the water is high now when it gets down to normal status it’s fine to cast in the middle but that spot I was fishing in is deep and it has a old log laying the bottom of it

Yea some good ones and good deal man I haven’t done any catfishing at paint creek in years ik the spillway is a good catfishing hole if u can beat the snags I’ve seen some nice flatheads caught out of there
@@FirstCastAngling the secret to not getting snagged real bad at the outflow is don't use a sinker if you can help it, same way back by the dam, maybe even use a dragging sinker if you have to have a sinker, good luck 👍
I live close by there..its noted for lots of copperhead an rattlesnakes...just sayin.. watch ur step around there..

Have u tried any of the blue river carp bait? That would be a video i definetly wannna see. They have a bunch of flavors. Just think it would be interesting if the flatheads will eat it. Nice video
Know I haven’t tried that bait I actually never heard of it until now and carp is a good bait for bluecats and flatheads and one of the best baits I’ve ever used to catch both species is redhorse suckers they are fire catfish bait best night I ever had on the river was with redhorse suckers that all we had and we slammed em all night long

The water up here is very high so it might be awhile before it drops.
Is it and yea be a few days for it to get down to normal status but why it’s up if u can get out on the water go for it this river produces some fish when there’s high water for me so hopefully u can get on some up north

Piketon area I actually used to fish the scioto river in Chillicothe over by the boat ramp that sharp bend with that island used to be a good hole haven’t been there in quite a few years though
