I made the classic mistake of not knowing my zero before Varmint hunting and checked why on the range today. Don't laugh to much anyway!

Another trick I have learned from YT (Winning in the Wind channel) is to go past your needed scope adjustment, then back.. to take out any slack/ backlash in the scope adjustments/ sticking of springs/ turrets.. more important when relieving tension (up/ right adjustments) than adding tension, but a good idea in general..

Favorite bullet choice for your caliber. It’s my goto fur friendly bullet in 223. I also like fourty grain Nosler ballistic tips.

60 grain vmax is a good bullet, I use them in my old .222 bolt and my semi’s

hard to move away from .223 to another cartridge because of the larger selection of bullets and powder data...it will be a viable contender for many years yet
