  • Match the proper cartridge to the intended hunted game. Bullet drop and retained energy is explained showing Percentage (%) differential between the 6.5 Creedmoor, 107 grain Sierra TMK with a high BC and a .223 Rem., 60 grain Vmax, out to a practical hunting distance of 300 yards. Shown here is a ballistics chart for these two cartridges (in my rifles only) and what they can mean to a hunter.

It doesn't matter, because if you miss (like I usually do) ballistics doesn't matter. HaHa!

Having the freedom to have choices is priceless.🇺🇸
If someone made a platform with a "dial" to infinitely adjust gun weight, bullet weight, bullet construction, aound level, and size... We would only need one platform.
Until then, videos like this help others decide how to invest their hard earned cash.
    Thanks Dave. 👍

There is a saying out west. " I'd rather have too many guns for the jobs, than not have enough gun for each job. Thanks for watching.

I have both, as well. We do get those high wind days in MN, and that's when I take the 6.5CM out, just on the theory that it will buck the wind a little better. It's a long heavy barrel, too. I hiked a huge public property with it the end of Feb setting up several stands. What a workout. My muscles are still sore 😂 Love the 556 for the for the much lighter hunting experience and the cheaper ammo.
Thanks for the video, Dave. Have a great week 👋

My theory is a little off the normal way of thinking. "Speed trumps wind. The least time of flight to the target the less time for wind deflection." I can't accurately measure BC's but I can measure velocity, shooting angle and bullet drop.
